October 26, 20178 yr Neat and compact, can dig a fair bit, likes to spray passes around, he should be impressed with his debut for us...Him Kante and Baka quite formidable..
October 26, 20178 yr Considering he's probably still weeks away from being completely match fit I thought it was quite a promising debut and I thought it was quite telling that Everton wrestled control of the midfield as soon as he went off.

I personally thought they’d taken control of the game a while before he went off but that’s probably due to his fitness not being there yet. Hopefully he can get up to speed quickly!
October 27, 20178 yr Looked very good, control, slick passing and he tracks back when we defend. He was very much needed, wish we had him since the start of the season. It would be so good if we could start him and Bakayoko on Saturday.

November 10, 20178 yr I still have flashbacks to Sutton's first and I think only, appearance on MOTD. He was truly horrendous. A miserable, cynical, moaning pillock. And this coming from me.
November 10, 20178 yr Everytime I see Sutton on the BBC or BT I want to throw something at the telly.

Well, regardless of our opinions of Chris Sutton's punditry, he doesn't say anything remotely like the headline in the article. I would change that to "The Daily Star comes out with some absolute crap".
November 10, 20178 yr If Drinkwater doesn’t think his body is ready then as it’s just a couple of friendlies it shouldn’t be a problem. Ryan Giggs use to pull out of loads of Welsh squads and then play for United without any problems.

November 10, 20178 yr What the hell is wrong with the BBC lot ? They just can't seem to stop themselves talking absolute sh*te.

Did you see his MOTD commentary on the City game last season? When Fernandinho slapped Fabregas twice and pushed him, Fabregas barely reacted and Sutton said "I think Fabregas wants a job on corry with the way he's acting" Bloke doesn't have a clue, very bitter man.

There have been many occasions when I wish I'd thrown something at the telly. You're right, he oozes misery and bitterness. Here's a clip of what every fan should do to Sutton.

Sorry, misread the original headline even... must have been quite sleepy. Read that as a paraphrased "joining Chelsea ruined his career" By the way, I'm curious, did you intentionally reduce the font size?

Just annoyed by his snidey comment that he will just have to put up with playing in our under 23s and league cup. He was brought on for the last 12 minutes in the last game we played against united when only 1-0 up. Conte clearly trusts him and he is coming back from not really playing since April. And anyway, if he doesnt want to play for England why should he. Scholes gave it up at 29 and the media haven't stopped sucking him off since.

Yeah, some of the things he said are really really stupid. Like implying that Conte will need to watch him in the England matches when he watches him regularly in training.
January 18, 20188 yr Firstly. Blimey, no ones thought to comment on Drinkwater since November? Which I guess highlights how indifferent fans are towards his being here. Anywho, thought he was poor last night, same as against Arsenal. Which is disappointing, having got over his injury troubles at the start of the season and Bakayoko having a troubled debut season he's had a chance to steak a claim for a starting place in the midfield but he's not looking likely to be anything more than a back up player. Looked lethargic in a lot of his play, passing was poor quite often. Had a couple of decent shots from range, was nice to see a player at least trying their luck from range and threatening the goal a bit. Might start the game against Brighton seeing as Bakayoko played all 120 minutes last night, maybe a start with Kante in the middle.
January 18, 20188 yr Still not sure about him, some game he looked like a good player, last 2 starts he has been pretty ordinary. The couple of Norwich's chance all came from his careless passing, against a decent team we'd be a goal down and completely different game. He's probably going to start on Saturday, surely we aren't going to do Kante/Cesc again, right?
January 18, 20188 yr Most of the team were poor, but at least he had a couple of decent cracks at goal.
January 18, 20188 yr I just feel this is like the transfer of Tidwell & Parker of years gone by. Buying English talent with no regard of if they are good enough.. problem with drinks is that I don' think even he knows if he is a holder or an attacking midfielder
January 18, 20188 yr I feel like he "always" need two extra touches to control the ball. Either gets it under him, to far in front of him or just fail to control it all together. Should not be at Chelsea ovbiously.
