Bakayoko has either got the jitters big time or he's doing this to make a point and engineer a move. Sack Conte? Don't make me laugh. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of stupidity. Don’t forget Kennedy’s performances too. Both players neglected by Conte unfortunately.
February 6, 20188 yr I agree with what everybody is saying about Bakayoko. I’ve said it before on this forum, he is not worthy of even wearing the Chelsea shirt, let alone get picked for starting 11 every game. I also don’t think sacking Antonio is the way to go about it, however abramovich has a very short temper, so it’s a shame but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Conte go. I blame the board for not signing enough players, and letting a lot of players go. Conte can only deal with the players he has.

Not like a normal job, if they get sacked their multi-million contract is paid up, they get a few weeks on a Dubai beach and then get a new club with another multi-million contract.

February 6, 20188 yr Bakayoko will come good next season...and Conte will probably go today with Ancelloti coming in to do the Hiddink role for the rest of the season...hopefully Frank will also get more involved with the first team as the player-manager Bridge...
February 6, 20188 yr Been avoiding this thread since the match. I had to go to work at 1-1. What happened? We looked to have snatched a point and next thing I read we lose 4-1. I do feel sorry for Bakayoko. The worst 30 minutes I could remember from anyone in a Chelsea shirt. To have your flaws exposed like that in such an awful way I am concerned for him. It's hard to come back from that.
February 6, 20188 yr I don't want Conte sacked, mainly because it's the boards fault for not backing him in the summer and this was obviously going to happen, but he is getting basic things wrong continuously lately and I'm fast losing patience I must admit. Last night for example, why play Pedro who has been awful for months? Give a hungry Hudson-Odoi a start. Hazard as a false 9 DOES NOT WORK, play the striker we've just signed. Zappacosta is ATROCIOUS, play the new LB we've just signed, and if you really do need to play him, don't play him on the same side as Cahill who is also truly woeful. He actually played players out of position last night when he had players for those positions on the bench - new players that will actually want to put a shift in and may help us out of this hole we are in. These are basic things that everyone can see, so why can't Conte? Funny thing is, with Chelsea being Chelsea, I can actually see us going and beating Barcelona in a few weeks time.
February 6, 20188 yr Bakayoko has had a few crap games. Not just 30 minutes. I hope he does not get picked again. Getting rid of Matic and Costa and bringing in Bakayoko, Zapacosta and Rudiger. And a forward who plays like Torres. Not good business. Conte wants to go. It would be a bonus for him if he gets sacked with a payout. It is cheaper to change manager than get new players but that is what is needed. A clear out and give the manager Conte a chance to build a team.
February 6, 20188 yr We deserved to lose last night.... But! Given some of the recent denied penalties we've had against us recently and some of the cards given for simulation it's frustrating to see an opposition player swan diving and getting awarded a penalty.

But the problem is half of the pundit world is defending it. I saw Richard Keys and Andy Gray arguing about it taking different sides, what a mess football is turning out to be, if we can't have a proper answer for what's a foul and what's a dive then football will remain in this ridiculous state.

Notice he simulates a bit of whiplash, that's the bit Mike Dean could see.
February 6, 20188 yr 'Antoni GO, Antoni GO, Antoni GO, Antoni GO, Antoni GO !!!' Conte wants out of Chelsea. Conte isn't bothered now about Chelsea FC but he does want that massive compensation, so Roman will have to sack him before he gets it. This could turn into a war of attrition and the losers will be us fans. I hope Roman acts quickly because this isn't going to get any better with Conte at the helm. We can salvage something from this season if he leaves but if he stays we will slip down thee table, get shafted by Barca, go out of the FA Cup and end up in a worse position than Arsenal. Conte did well in his first season but that was then and not now. Things have changed. Italy want Conte to manage the National side after tumbling out of the world cup qualifiers. I think he'd prefer that job than the one he presently has. The longer this goes on, the more painful it will get.

Watch his right foot after the contact, same as Kane, they both refuse to land on the foot, the foot that hasn't been touched, it just hovers in the air whilst they go down. Nothing is stopping them.
February 6, 20188 yr Our defence was as strong as tissue paper last night. How Cahill starts over Rudiger I don't know. Baka was very poor but didn't deserve either yellow and the penalty is as soft as you will get. It's very clear there is a leadership void within the squad. And the uncertainty over the managers position does not help. Don't think zappa deserves any criticism other than tracking janmaat for his goal, at least he showed some desire unlike many of the others last night. I really thought Hazard had rescued us with his sheer brilliance only for the defence to let everyone down. And don't even get me started on Luiz playing several balls in behind with Giroud up front...

It's certainly not irrelevant over the course of a season and most of the those new seats are corporate. In the scope of FFP (if it is ever implemented properly) it's an important step.

I really dont get this love affair with keeping a manager for years and years. No top club does this. Having a stable core of players is much more important. A mew manager with fresh ideas and a new outlook is often a good thing

Now we also seem to struggle acquiring decent players. A tricky time to take over the club and look at the next few matches.

No dont get me wrong, Im not in favour of firing Conte, but if its true hes looking to opt out in the summer Id rather be done with it and het someone new in.

We can't win with the same strategy like we saw in recent years that any team that won the league wasn't near to even win the next league. We have example of Leicester city. Technology is changing the game and it can be easy to analyze the other team strategy and it wouldn't work later.
