If we sign Golovin, Jorginho, Rugani, etc... it will be a good window. But I will be left with some regret that the board didn't make those sorts of signings for Conte, instead of thrusting last minute garbage on him.

Kante, Alonso, Batshuayi, Rudiger, Morata (Conte wanted him), Bakayoko (didn't work out) were all massive signings for us. Lets not pretend we gave Conte f**k all. 

Kante is a world beater.

Alonso is one of the best goal scoring defenders on the planet.

Batshuayi was hugely rated, shame Conte never gave him a chance.

Rudiger was highly rated and has turned into arguably our best CB.

Morata, Conte wanted him the year before and got what he wanted.

Bakayoko was rumoured to be one of the next big things and early showings suggested he well could have been.

A lot of the signings Conte did make turned out to be garbage though. We splashed on Morata, Rudiger and Bakayoko at his request. As well as Zappacosta and Alonso. Barkley and Kante were club signings. Haven't seen anything that suggests who made the call on signing Drinkwater but the other cases should tell you Conte wasn't exactly abandoned.

Imagine being gazumped to a player you had all but signed by a club not even in the CL. That one must sting.

I still will be shocked if we sign Higuain.  There’s no way we fork over a large sum for him, solely based on the fact that he is 30, and will turn 31 in early December.

Eh f**k it. We've finally gotten some good news. Let's all smile about the state of the club for once this summer, shall we? 

Admittedly, I was just super tired of Conte (and have been since February at least). Just glad to be moving on.
