From a purely publicity point-of-view, it doesn't make any sense announcing the big news today, because media pages and TV channels are drowned in sorrow after Tottenham’s exit from the World Cup, hence tomorrow.  ;)

Speculation has been rife all summer long and everyone expected this to be done a long time ago but now everyone is reporting Jorginho is on his way to London and Sarri is right around the corner, confirmed by AdL himself.

I’d like to see it confirmed Conte is gone today as there clearly isn’t a point, and probably only disturbing for the entire club that he is still at Cobham. Give him his compensation and send him back to Italy. He’s a title winning coach and 15-16 was an amazing season, one of the best in Chelsea-history if you ask me so let’s have some respect for Antonio.

Imagine having Jorginho arriving to Cobham today and Conte welcoming him only to be sacked a day or two after. We shouldn’t do that.

You really are a tender soul. All this repeated concern over poor old Conte and his millions that await, and those delicate little lambs otherwise known as professional footballers, who are overcome with confusion over who will be their manager.

Feels like D day today, but just likely to be another day of ' still negotiating something'.

According to the Napoli lawyer:

for Jorginho “It’s practically all done”,

for Sarri “Sarri could sign either today or tomorrow, it’s happening”.  “No other Napoli Player will leave for Chelsea”.

 

I presume by signing he means sign the termination agreement with Napoli.

There must be a reason Conte isn't sacked yet.
If everything was done with Sarri/Napoli he would not have lead the team in training today, so clearly there is something that is not yet resolved.

Conte's covering his back, he wants his full compo and refusing to train the team while still under contract will give the club a loophole.

I meant it as he wouldn't be here to train them because he'd have been sacked.
