Race for Top 4

Featured Replies

If Liverpool and Tottenham can drop points against the likes of Brighton and West Brom, then I suppose anything could happen.

As long as we beat Swansea I think they will feel the pressure!

Liverpool are down to 3 midfielders now, after a serious injury to Ox.

With the European games and 1 game against us, suddenly it doesn’t look too far fetched anymore.

That being said, watch them smash 6 past Stoke this weekend.

Still a long shot, but supposedly we win the next 4, we'd probably take Liverpool's spot, whom will no doubt throw all the eggs in the basket for the CL. The damage was done when we threw away so many games against teams in the bottom half, in reality we don't deserve the 4th spot, but..

What 3 are they down to?

How the hell does that 3 man midfield get to a CL final?.
Because it does what Klopp needs them to do which is largely run.

Liverpool as much as I hate to say it have backed Klopp's style and bought what he needed. They have a very mobile team who can implement Klopp's high press.

Next round of fixtures

Saturday - Liverpool v Stoke, Swansea v Chelsea

? Monday - Tottenham v Watford

? It saddens me to say we look the most likely to drop points out of the matches.

Really? Liverpool wont be focused, Watford are a good team.

Swansea are one of the worst sides in the Premier League.

Watford don’t have anything to play for?

Ultimately, we need to win all our remaining matches and for the dippers to lose to one of either Stoke or Brighton at home.

If it happens it will be tommorow vs Stoke.

Klopp will be resting key players and Paul Lamberts unbeaten at Anfield as a manager (won 3 drew 2).

A win against Liverpool will heal a lot of pressure on them for their last game... Tottenham getting a poor result on Monday means it's wide open... Looking a lot better than a week ago.

Personally, I can see it happening.

Better chance of us catching Liverpool than Tottenham now I reckon.

Makes next sunday's game a bit more interesting, instead of a dead rubber, bank holiday Sunday 4:30pm ko, bridge could be rocking.

If we win our 3 remaining games (Liverpool h Huddersfield h and Newcastle a) and Liverpool win their last game at home to Brighton then they will finish ahead of us on goal difference which will be f**king sickening, CL qualification should never be settled this way and in these circumstances a playoff should take place.

Honestly even if we do win all our games I really can't see Liverpool f**king up at home to Brighton and Spurs won't lose 2 games, I just want us to finish the season on a high by winning these games and winning the FA Cup.

COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!

The more possible it becomes the more angry I become at the Watford and Bournemouth games. I'd rather miss out by 10 points than goal difference.

Knowing this team and how the season has planned out, we will probably beat Liverpool and then lose against Newcastle.

We don’t deserve top 4 and this team has failed every single time when it’s mattered this year.

They really haven’t though, what he has done is gone about his job without moaning and using the resources/youth he has & gotten on with the job. Imagine Conte having Gomes & Alexander Arnold as defence options.

Liverpool look to have lost their focus in the league. Champions League has got them distracted.

We have a game in hand over them but play them next.

Beat them and going into our game against Huddersfield we can go level on points (but they've a vastly superior goal difference).

Could come down to the final game of the season but we're away to Newcastle, typically a bit of a bogey team for us meanwhile the dippers are playing Brighton at home... so we might run them close but looking too little too late at this point.
