When a player gets a 3 match ban like AloNso and hopefully the THUG Ayew, must they forfeit their pay for those matches, or is it up to the team to decide whether they get paid or not?

As predicted, Ayew challenge barely gets a mention on MOTD, you know for a fact, if one of our players had done that, the knives would be out.

Unbelievable isn't it, the 3 c**ts didn't even mention it yet couldn't shut up about alonso a few weeks ago.

Makes you laugh though, when you watch Bakayoko and remember the stick that Mikel got. Most of the time Mikel did what he was supposed to do and was a very tidy player, but if the ball hit Cahill on the arse and looped over the keepers head, it was his fault.

I thought the same thing. That said we must remember that Mikel struggled with similar things as Bakayoko when he first arrived.  He was undisciplined, gave away cheap fouls and lacked urgency. Now Mikel I think grew into a fine member of our squad but that took years and we had the comfort of Lampard, Ballack, Essien and Makalele to cover for his flaws along the way.

Truth is we made a huge mistake selling Matic in the summer and asking him to step in straight away.  We need two new top class central midfield players in the summer, we then need to make a call about whether we can persist with Bakayoko as a rotation to let him learn and adapt or whether to acknowledge that the building blocks we thought were there just aren't and to cut our losses.

Of course, sadly...

I thought it was a below par performance, could have easily been 1:1 if Swansea had a half decent striker. I couldn't understand why we played an extra midfielder against a team just above the relegation zone, completely waste of a player ( even Baka played ok against ordinary oppositions). Having taken the lead, we didn't really create much after, it's the over complicated play over and over again, final pass went astray, and no one got on the end of crossing when there was one. There's a reason Giroud is a super sub, when h'e starting there's no use to play through balls with him leading the line, as soon as the cross go off target he's out of the game. Again, Conte make those predictable changes, instead of pushing the issue to get the second goal. Thankfully Swansea just not good enough up front, still we had to go through the usual panic in the last 10-15 with a single goal lead. I thought we had a good thing coming when we played 2 strikers against Burnley, now it seems to be an one off.

That was a hard match to watch.  Some nice football on occasions but overall what a turgid & lacklustre display.

Watching, I was thinking that City, Liverpool and Spurs would've ripped Swansea to shreds with a  3 or 4 nil result.  It's just not our way is it?  We generally grind out small margin wins (when we are not losing) and teeter on the edge for the last 15 minutes or so whilst we wait, heart in mouth, for a late equaliser by the opposition.

What the hell has happened to us - for a long while we were in the top 5 teams in Europe if the historic co-efficient stat's are anything to go by and what are we now?  Probably scraping top 15 on a very good day?

Its just pathetic how we have lost our swagger and now, far from being regular top table diners, we are reduced to the scraps that might become available should Spurs and Liverpool screw up at the end of the season.

Mind boggling.

Zero chance. the ref was looking straight at it and clearly thought: "Late? yes. Thuggish? yes. On a Chelsea player? No action needed."

I can guarantee he will not lie and claim he didn't see it. Unlike Dean with Alonso.

It would be better for him if he says he didn't see it. If he says that he seen it but didn't think it was even a foul, then he is basically admitting that he shouldn't be a ref.

Jon Moss is easily the worst ref in the PL. The fact he seen Ayew barge Cahill and dint blow up was all you need to know about that fat c**t. He shouldnt be near a PL ground at all.

It was Cahill last year too, when we were 2-0 against Swansea, that got robbed off the ball, from Ayew again ( I think) after being fouled that allowed them to score, no idea who the ref was but it was clear cut foul and it was left go unpunished.

I dont want to be over dramatic but the force Ayew hit Cahill with the other day could have done serious damage to his neck/spine, could have gave him whiplash too.

I was delighted to see Rudiger stand up for him, of all the signings we've made under Conte, he looks like the most likely to be considered "proper Chels".

I remember that goal. Scandalous decision. It was Leroy Fer (on a yellow) who came through the back of Cahill (should have been a second yellow) and ran on to score. Cahill got the blame for an error when it was a blatant foul. I think the ref was Marriner.

Haven't heard a peep about retrospective action for Ayew. When you watch the replay, Cahill's neck goes right back, and he was lucky not to have a whiplash injury (these can take time to develop). Moss was a disgrace for not penalising Ayew.

the refereeing in the prem is below par, we moan as Chelsea fans over a no call like that Billy Hunt Ayew assaulting Cahill (if I did that down a dark alley i'd be nicked); yesterday but week in week out I see other teams suffer from 2 bob decisions or lack of

never mind VAR can we have robo-refs please?

Referees should be made to come out and explain their dubious decisions after the match, that way we'll soon see the repeat offenders and they'd be forced to up their game or be weeded out.

Some of them walk around like they're untouchable because they have that whistle in their hand and those cards in their pocket.
