Is he left footed by any chance (can't remember), because whether we go 3 or 4 at the back, we need a natural left footed CB imo.

Read in the Guardian today that United are likely to sign Alderweireld for about 40 million.

We are interested but are pursuing Jamal Lascelles instead.

He's their most valuable asset, but that still doesn't make him anywhere near good enough for us. He's probably only just Premier League quality. He wouldn't improve us and an inexperienced CB at the highest level is the last thing we need right now.

It would be just like us to target someone for months and end up settling for mediocrity. Lascelles is a decent player, but he's a decent player for a mid table team, not a team that wants to play in the Champions League.

Got called up to the England squad earlier this season and would be on the plane to Russia but for surgery, and all the while playing for a struggling unfashionable club. He's stood out, whenever I've seen him. Sure, he may not be the answer and you may not think it's a good idea but he's clearly PL quality, which is why there'll be a long line of PL clubs trying to sign him.

why? he's been poor this season by all accounts and has been dropped from the brazil squad for the world cup. he also got his place taken at juventus by asamoah. Emerson we bought for just over 20m and he's 23. lots of potential, whereas sandro is 27 and coming off a poor season. he would also cost at least €60m which could go towards another position.

come on, we all know how difficult it is to buy from spurs. levy would rather sell up north than to a rival london club. also, we haven't got a coach in yet so it's tricky situation. that's the problem waiting on conte to go when we've got an FA cup game coming up, we can't move forward until the weekend is over and we know exactly what's happening.

Hopefully Spurs want Barkley to replace Dembele. Don't think it will happen but I'd take a part ex deal for Alderweireld any day of the week.

Do we really need to buy a new CB? Next season we will most likely play with 4 at the back with Christensen & Rudiger? Stick with Christensen I say. It's a tough one because I believe you should change a defence as little as possible, but then you have defenders becoming unhappy due to lack of games. I guess if either Luiz or Cahill are sold we should look for a replacement... to be back up or possibly replace Rudiger in the starting XI.

In regards to RB, Dave will start there and Zappa is a good replacement? 

LB hopefully Palmieri comes good & Alonso is also a good replacement.

I think our priority should be a midfielder & a RW. 

If we sell Morata, buy another striker and have (new striker) Bats & Giroud & send Tammy out on another loan for a season.

Can't believe we haven't signed anyone yet. Leaving it to the last hundred thousand minutes...just like usual.

There is always Zouma to come back as well.

would love Icardi, Inter are in the Europa League next year too so he wouldnt be missing out on CL football if he signed for us.

Add Isco in midfield and rashford.

If we lose Courtois then Allison Becker from Roma as replacement.

Wilfried Zaha definitely deserves some views, I think he made a huge improvement this season.

I wish we could get Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio, Koulibaly from Napoli and Hirving Lozano from PSV.

With Kante in defensive and transition roles Milinkovic-Savic would be able to focus on become a hybrid Matic-Lampard player and we do need an extra world class midfielder since I don't see Fabregas as a viable option anymore. Don't get me wrong he's great but he does make mistakes and is older now.
Koulibaly is very much needed, Gary Cahill is older now and David Luiz struggled a lot.
Lozano is a good talent that could replace Pedro and/or Willian in case he leaves as the rumors are already there that Mourinho wants him, I like Willian and wouldn't like to see him leave though.

Maybe it's not a popular opinion after how this season went but I still have faith in Morata becoming a great player for us, Michy should return as well.
If we sell Morata it would be amazing to see Icardi joining but since the other 3 players would all be very expensive already I gave up on that idea but what if Zouma comes back and becomes World Class? Then we don't need Koulibaly and can then get Icardi, just a dream I know...but if I were to continue doing that, Loftus-Cheek could also become World Class and then maybe we don't need Milinkovic-Savic either.

Well no matter what it's very clear that we need more quality, if the youth finally steps up or if we buy it doesn't matter but we do need a lot more for next season.

This season was him bedding in, next season he's gonna be the dogs!!!!!!!

With Signings ... god looking at Chelsea's transfer record for last few years and depending on the new manager (probably) it could be literally anyone......

Like you I'd like to see give RLC, Tammy, CHO given a chance next season, the biggest obstacle for me however is the standard of the current squad, add those players to the likes of Barkley, Bakayoko, an error prone Christensen/Cahill, and an ageing Fabregas/Pedro and I think we have a recipe for mid table obscurity (or worse, a relegation battle) next season.

What do you think Icardi offers that Batshuayi doesn't? They're both poachers, with Batshuayi arguably the better finisher. Would be daft signing Icardi. 

As for Rashford, we have no chance of signing him and he's better up top than on the wing. 

Isco is one of Madrid's top performers this season. Won't leave.

Concerning Icardi, I would say leadership. While they maybe similar in playing style, our squad is in dire need of some leaders.

How do you feel about that? Personally I’d be really gutted, he seems to be Chelsea through and through and he was the only one who was performing in that dreadful season.

I really like him and I hope he stays.

Is leadership worth as much Icardi would cost though when he isn't bringing anything that Bats doesn't offer. Rather buy a position we need with leadership qualities such as CM.

Fine to see him go, not a fan of him going to a rival though. 

He's a player that will have a good month or two a season to get your hopes up but is still largely average over the course of an entire year. 

Would rather him stay and play the role of super sub that he did so well last season. IMO that was the best he's been for us, coming into a game for the last 25 mins.

If we sell Morata and buy Icardi, while keeping Bats on our books (sending him on loan), I would say that would be the best. Honestly speaking the thought of going into the season with any 2 of morata/giroud/Bats as our striker options gives me nightmares. I would also say that while Icardi has the same strengths as Bats, his all round game is definitely better than Bats. Bats (while scoring consistently), sometimes looked very average. 

We HAVE to buy a CM. I dont think that should be conditional to getting a striker.
