I don’t think he needs that long at all. I reckon he’ll get us playing Sarriball in just a few months time, with a few weaknesses like the striker and defence, I imagine next season we will see Sarriball at its best.
August 30, 20187 yr We are already seeing the effects of Sarri's style of play. The players have picked it up quicker than I thought. I did think that by this stage we would have drawn a couple or lost a game, but to my surprise we've taken to this new style like a duck to water. I mean, thinking about it, why wouldn't they? Conte brought the playing out from the back style in his first season, but apart from that we already had pretty good technical players such as Pedro (who's played in a similar system at Barca), Cesc, Kante, Willian, Hazard. We added Kovacic and Jorginho, and also have a good technical young player in Loftus-Cheek on the bench. Barkley is also pretty decent technically. The players showed under Conte they can interplay well when they need to, they just needed different guidance and the shackles released. We pretty much had a team set up to play how Sarri wanted and so it shouldn't really be a surprise they've taken to the style so fast.

August 31, 20187 yr Sarri is up for the PL manager of the month award for August.Poch will get it because they need it and the media loves them
September 1, 20187 yr He keeps doing this weird thing where he praises the players to the media. Doesn’t he know the best way to get them to perform is to constantly slag them off? How does he expect to keep the moral up? Ridiculous!

Guess he thinks they are doing well in adopting his style, when we lose it will then be interesting to see how he handles it.
September 2, 20187 yr I am so proud of our boys and Sarri has shut me up. I had fears over his appointment but what a breath of fresh air he has been for our team! This was a game that I had no faith we would win. They have beat us at home 2 seasons in a row and I thought any moment we were going to lose. The Newcastle and Bournemouth wins for me have cheered me up a lot and I am on board the Sarriball Train!!! KTBFFH!!!!! Go Sarri !!!!
September 2, 20187 yr I like it when he explains his thoughts, straighforwad and honest... even if he likes Willian a bit too much :0) http://www.goal.com/en/news/i-am-a-lucky-man-sarri-excited-by-hazard-willian-and-pedro/51zta8z2ri0p1jyd2mtfta584

"I think we need to be careful - especially the positioning of the player when we are in the offensive phases," Sarri said. "Today, we had the right full-back making a cross and the other one in the box. It was a little bit dangerous. We were always in a position to face the counter-attack with only the centre-backs. "David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger were in the right positions when the opposition attacked the space but the defenders and the midfielders on the left and right were not. We need to improve the positioning under the line of the ball." Shows that Alonso really needs to pick his times to push forward, so we're not being left wide open. Was interesting that Eden mentioned it the other day too.

You're not alone. I was in the camp who given the choice would have stuck with Conte, as I knew little about Sarri and was skeptical to say the least. But 4 wins out of 4 and it's hard to find fault with anything so far. It is still early days with much tougher tests to come, but have to admit I'm impressed with what I've seen up to now - long may it continue.
September 3, 20187 yr Very impressive start. I think we'll do well overall this season but surely we are lacking firepower and another CB to compete with the very best. Can't wait to see what Sarri will be able to build at the club though.
September 4, 20187 yr So far out of the 4 games we have gone in level at half time for 3 of them and Sarri has made certain tweaks and got the win, his half time talks and the changes at the 60 minute mark are doing wonders so far. Anyone coming on has had a point to prove and so far all the substitutes have actually made a positive impact on the team. (Thank God he hasnt got Bakayako on the bench to send on to see out the game)
September 4, 20187 yr I'm very pleased with what he's done so far, not very many would have said we would win our opening four games, and not withstanding a few nervy moments against the Arse fairly emphatic and very entertaining too. We are dominating possession as opposed to soaking it up and waiting for a break away goal (especially irritating against the smaller clubs). It's such a pleasure to see US on top of games, I'm sure we'll have some slip ups.. But.. Wont it be fun and exciting along the way. Long live 'Sarri-Ball'
September 5, 20187 yr The only thing I would say is we have won four on the trot though the only tough match on paper being Arsenal who were also under new management following the departure of long term manager Wenger, so for me we have not faced a team in top form. The first test will be against Liverpool, IMO. Saying this I like the more progressive style under Sarri.

Just annoying we pulled them in the League Cup too.

Conte's subs, especially last season, were awful. No matter how much pressure we were under, he would leave it until the 80th minute to make a change. The FA cup final was so hard to watch because Conte wouldn't make a change.

That was almost criminal for me, he was terrible making timely substitutions.
September 5, 20187 yr I was vocal about wanting sarri in the summer, mainly because I wanted to watch us play possession football for a change. There is nothing wrong with how we played before, it has proved successful, but it's refreshing to watch us pass teams off the park now. It's still early days, but so far so good. Sarri has been able to change our play style pretty quickly so he is obviously a very talented coach, and he is improving us game by game. I can't remember when I was as excited to watch us play as I am now. Time will tell whether or not Sarri's approach can win us silverware, but it while he is here, we will be exciting to watch regardless. Fun is definately the word I think this season.

September 5, 20187 yr I can't remember when I was as excited to watch us play as I am now. We were pretty damn impressive up until Christmas when we won our last PL under Mourinho.

That was probably the last time I was really excited and enjoying watching us play. We had just brought in fabregas and costa, and we played some great stuff until it all went a bit pear shaped away at spurs. Then we very much grounded out results in the second half of the season.
