Don’t like the gap between defense and midfield 

So we're 20 minutes into our first competitive game, we're playing a new formation and new tactics after playing 3 at the back for the last two years, we're missing by far our two best players in Kante and Hazard and are playing against the best team in the League who are almost at full strength 

And people are already moaning and being negative in regards to the new season?

Damn

Hudson-Odoi keeps going backwards with the ball and keeps cutting infield making our play narrow.

Would like him to show some more aggression and try and take Walker on the outside.

City in general has more quality at the moment than Chelsea does. 

That plus the fact that the entire team is in a learning curve while city is used to this kind of playing style, makes it not a surprise that we are behind. 

And tbh, how many of you expected us to lose today? 

Sarri will need time (and if possible better players).

He wouldn't get anywhere the starting eleven for any of our rivals.

Mate I don't see us getting top 4 no matter who sarri picks in our back line this season. Is a big learning curve for him and city, spurs and liverpool are all ahead of us in deveoplement.

I will be happy to be proven wrong there though.

I know it may be an understatement to say you don't like luiz very much was just seeing the humor in it is all ;)

I’m with Mcmanaman for a change. I’ve liked the highlights I’ve seen of CHO, but he’s been really quiet today. If ever there was a game to try and stamp your authority on it’s this one. If he tries something and it doesn’t  one off the who cares, it’s just the community shield, I’d like him to show the confidence he did in pre season.

 

I know he’s young and it’ll take time but this is what I meant when I said in his thread we can’t rely on a 17 year old if Willian left. He needs to be eased in to the starting 11.

I'm pleased to see CH-O out there. He's exciting even if he's not been able to get into the game too much yet (that shot asside).

Remember when we sat back like cowards last season and appeared to be frightened? How our aim was to keep the scoreline as low as possible? I hope to never see anything like that again

CHO's finishing could improve, shot straight at the keeper. Something to work on.

Not watching the match but so far seems like we have been very poor which is expected when playing the champions

Good movements from Morata so far. CHO looking Lively. Our midfield has been non-existant. Defense dodgy. 

Well we've had more shots on target today than we did the whole of the game at the ethihad

Mharez doesn't look City quality. Which makes me happy.

Agreed, it’s confidence that will come the more he plays I suppose but what he’s just done there is what he needs to do if he wants to break in to the first team regularly.

That was a guess by the linesman if ever I’ve seen one.

He will when we have more possession and more territory.

Both our fullbacks have been really shaky. Alonso is not quick enough and Azpi doesn't look comfortable at the right either.
