I'd pick Moses on the bench, who can play as a super-sub right winger and an attacking right-back, but I'd have CHO in place of Zappacosta, who doesn't drive forward as well as Moses does and who is not a winger.

Huddersfield are lining up in a 4-5-1 with defensive wingbacks so that will help Alonso. Luiz and Rudi will basically have one guy to keep an eye on. Let's hope they can concentrate today.
Against City they let in people behind them so many times.

But would you have Moses (who should have been sold) on the bench instead of him? 

Having a player that can play more than one position on the bench can be the difference in some games where you have one of your players sent off. Yes, I will have a versatile Moses on the bench than a youth player.

Constructive criticism isn't allowed here. Anything negative is considered bashing or hating. Personally the team selection is decent just worried for that LB position which teams continuously use to expose us like the Ivanovic days in his last season.

After the pre season he had, I expected to see Hudon-Odoi at least make the bench. I don't think fans can be blamed for being disappointed in that. I know it's only the first game of the season, but it feels like an early sign that he won't be used much this season. 

With some players not being match fit because of the world cup, I would have thought today would be a good time to get him a game.

People are perfectly justified to express disappointment with chosen teams, just as they are to express sheer delight.

The people who go on and on about others "whining", when all they are doing is expressing opinions, not even having a go at anyone, are frankly far more irritating than the few people who go overboard with the criticism.

Fair enough, I’ll be honest, I like Moses and yes he’s a versatile player, but the thought of him at right back frightens me and he’s looked poor on the right wing whenever he’s played their, but I hope he makes me eat my words this season. 

Where are our goals going to come from? Neither midfield nor attack inspires confidence. Maybe pedro can.

And you should........he should be there on the bench minimum. And we really needed a Sandro in our team, Alonso will not do it and will be exposed time after time there. WHere is Emerson? Much better in that position...........

Im surprised we don’t play Dave in the Centreof defence and also surprised Cahill  isn’t in the frame, but there you go.

If you had read my post further, I was actually arguing that Zappacosta should be removed, with CHO replacing him. Do you disagree @Floyd25?

I'm with you Scott. Luiz and Pedro starting again and CHO not even on the bench.

The only marginal good news is Fabregas is carrying a slight knock otherwise he would probably be in there as well.

Not exactly looking like the dawn of a new era is it.

Sarri's baptism of fire into the Premiership. He will learn that even lowly teams like Huddersfield are capable of beating us. They are a tough nut to crack at home plus they have strengthened their squad. Take nothing for granted.

About Moses, I would only expect him to act as a super-sub winger, use his pace against tired-legs and maybe score a goal.
