I just think that you and several others are just too quick to criticise Willian and other scapegoat players of your choice, without any logic or justification, but just because you are looking out for any error by those players. as I've said many times in here, particularly Willian gets dog's abuse in here that I NEVER hear at the Bridge, and some of the anti-Willian posts in here tonight have just been shameful.

How can you have Willian at 7/10?  He was sh*te, acciording to some in here.

That commentator was pissing me off no end, kept saying these were the first goals we'd conceded in the competition this season. We conceded against BATE when we won 3-1.

Sorry that I don't see this brilliant player that you see. If a winger can't find a single team mate from a cross, or play passes forward to team mates that get them in on goal, then he isn't having a very good game. We were instantly more effective when Pedro came on and Hudson-Odoi moved to the left. Willian did nothing today creatively, he had one moment in the first half where he took on two players and then over hit his cross, that was his best bit of attacking play of the game.

I would agree with most of that. Squad players like Emerson and Zappacosta didn't really stake a claim for a first team place. Disappointing from RLC but he has been pretty decent recently in other games so I think he just had an off night

It’s all Daves fault didn’t you know. He didn’t win the game whilst not being on the pitch. Some captain.

2 goals from free kicks, sad really we can't score normally against a much weaker team and I don't say that to disrespect them but it's true, anyway I don't care that much I'm more sad that Rangers lost and are out of this competition we got that first place in the group but we are not that dominant.

Powerful shot & that defender would have gotten killed if he was able to get his head in the way - lucky for him Giroud went high

Not much of anything that game. Avoided defeat, Giroud scored a peach, and the fringe players got some minutes.

Benefits of clearing the group early, hopefully a valuable rest for the majority of our first team squad going into the weekend.

 

I am just glad Giroud and nobody else got hurt.

I'm not convinced Lozano is the answer in all honesty, I'm a bit 50/50 on the guy. Sometimes he looks decent, but then he looks a bit like a headless chicken. He could work with our style of football though. It would be worth a gamble if we can get him. I can't see us going for Fekir though, we won't spend that much in January, and we won't ditch one of Morata, Giroud, Willian or Pedro to get him either I don't think.

To get the pair of them, It would probably cost us close to or over £100m........I just don't see that happening in January.

Some average defensive performances tonight. RLC is lazy in defense and Barkley, good most of the time, switches off at odd crucial moments. 

Ampadu and Cho were pretty good I thought.

I agree with all of this but the Emerson for Tierney bit. I wouldn't give up Emerson, If anything, I think he is being massively underplayed at the club.

Lozano has beein involved in most goals of his team, saw somewhere an insane percentage, he has everything that a players needs to produce goals and PSV is currently ahead of Ajax in their domestic league, he's strong with both legs, can finish can cross can run and pass as well.
We need a player like that, young and skilled that wants to prove himself, Willian and Pedro don't have anything to prove anymore.

I'll take your word for it, I don't see enough of PSV to have a firm opinion on him. I only really see him in European competitions.
