If I am a defender and I see Pulisic drives toward my box with the ball, I'll be pissing in my pants.
Challenge him and try to take him down, then you risk being called for a penalty.
Stay off him and let him come, you risk him scoring or laying it off to one of his mates to score.
You can't win either way. 
They will have to figure him out quick, or it be a nightmare going against Chelsea next season; especially with Timo running along side Pulisic and Mount right behind them.
 

Your first sentence is what we needed in the team, if I am a defender I am hacking him down before he gets near the box it seems that's the only way to not give a penalty away

Oh I am sure he has no issue with his wages.

However, I do believe that clubs should reward players for their performances. Especially those with high value productivity. Assuming Pulisic continues to be one of the best players on the team, or be even better next season.

3.  Pulisic joining Chelsea now rather than a few years ago is huge.  Best possible timing.  Soccer was in its infancy (in the USA) when McBride, the USMNT goalies, Dempsey, and Donovan (when he moonlighted as an Everton player) played in the PL.  Games were hard to find, usually hit or miss on Fox Sports One.  Today, Soccer is on NBC Sports from pretty much 4 am to 12 pm PST (California)--on Saturdays and Sundays.  Nicely positioned before/during the early college football games on Saturdays and the early NFL games on Sundays.  And sports betting is slowly becoming legalized.  All these factors are creating a situation where the ability to develop new soccer fans is unlike any other time in the past.

4.  And anecdotally, my wife and I are expecting a baby in a few weeks.  We've been trying to buy a Chelsea onesie for him.  Via Amazon.  But the one that we want, the Chelsea blue onesie, is currently sold out.

I'm happy that Tammy scored but he isn't looking as great as he was months ago, Pulisic has been carrying us and I think that Willian is playing better because of him!

For whatever reasons, he just can't seem to get any assists. His assist numbers should easily be doubled, had his mates able to convert the chances Pulisic created. This has been going on since his days with Dortmund.

Otoh, I'm certainly happier that players get a bigger piece of the pie these days than the owners as compared to the past, at least when it comes to American sports where far too many owners are legacy ---hats who haven't contributed a damn thing to society. At the end of the day it's the players themselves that have created the wealth the game generates, not the owners.
