IMO much better today. At least players are trying to make things happen and forcing the issue. Kante has been a standout for me. 

Still trying to get a bit too cute once we reach the penalty area, but at least we're moving up the pitch much quicker than the Bournemouth game. Great 1-touch interplays in the middle third

However, major issues once teams bypass our midfield. Alonso leaves far too much space behind him and lacks the pace to track back. If both Alonso and Barkley are pushed too far up, Luiz is in major trouble. Huddersfield could've had yet another cutback goal today, if it wasn't for a last gasp Christensen block

Higuain took his goal well. Dont think he has the stamina to last more than 60 min of PL football. Looked knackered at the end of the half

 

There is not much improvement in the way we are playing. Our ball movement is still slow allowing opponents to crowd the box. We are still moving the ball sideways and back when stuck and there is not incisive passing that can penetrate the crowded opposition to create chances. Also we are still giving away the balls cheaply and are prone to counter attacks.

I was thinking Frankie Lampard cannot do worse with these palyers than Sarri. At least Frank will let them know and feel what it means to play for Chelsea.

Barley needs to cut those first time balls across quicker Hig is making the runs he will stop if he keeps not getting the ball, this is why people say Chelsea ruin strikers, need to supply them when they run, keep it simple

we look laboured really, there something about this group of players that just doesn't click. don't know if coaching can fix that or whether we simply need to say goodbye to a few people and find players capable of sarriball (if there really is such a thing)

Regardless of if it will be Sarriball or not, we do need an injection of new and good players. As for Sarriball- i now feel that we honestly dont have the players for that kind of play.

Well done Alonso today. A lot of pressure on him. Limited player in an area we can improve, but he gives 100%.

That offside against Alonso clearly explains it: When we should have passed the ball forward to Alonso, we passed the ball backwards and by the time that player passed to Alonso, he was offside. I feel that Sarri is right in that we have not really mastered Sarri ball. We are taking too long to move the ball and thus are not able to catch them on the break.
