June 21, 20233 yr That is already well above the £93m of reported revenue we needed to earn to comply with FFP. (according to SwissBank). This gives the club more leverage with players like Mount, Gallagher, Pulisic, Ruben, etc in obtaining higher transfer fees. Masterclass from the board/recruitment team.

They'd look like idiots if they came out now saying that there's a conflict of interest with the PIF, especially since the Newcastle sale was already in place. Edited June 21, 20233 yr by yaz

June 21, 20233 yr I used to have much respect for Neville but he's made himself look like a twat these past few years. So much hypocrisy and ignorance on his part. Just bitter. PIF have a 1.5% stake in Clearlake, of which these assets are being managed in a separate portfolio and their interest was already investigated during the take over to see if there was any conflict of interest between the Newcastle ownership. No word from Neville however on Arsenal spending 200m+ this summer and Saudi clubs buying Partey for 40m.
June 21, 20233 yr I normally take the piss out of Todd calling him Ted Lasso but fair play to him for getting the rest of the league to cry again with another piss take loophole. Every pundit and their Nan kept banging in about how would we get rid of these players, Todd said: “Hold my beer!!!!!: 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Edited June 21, 20233 yr by El regreso
June 21, 20233 yr It's not even a loophole. Every club in Europe are getting Ludacris offers from Saudi clubs for their players.

They were wrong. This upsets them.

Obviously plenty of fans will still claim they're clowns, useless, Ted Lasso and all that nonsense, but my opinion is this will turn out to be the best window we have had in years for the squad. yep - agree. Come in, made some mistakes, but looks to be learning and getting sh*t done.

From what I am hearing this is all Laurence Stewart's doing. The moment he's come in he's cleaned the mess of Egbahli/Clearlake made last summer. Boehly is just the face.
June 21, 20233 yr Disgrace how Neville is able to use his platform, especially representing one of the main broadcasters to destroy Boehly and our image/integrity. The guy absolutely despises all Americans after the Glazer era.

June 21, 20233 yr I find it hilarious that a team that finished 12th in the league has upset so many teams and pundits alike. They are really are afraid that we might return.

If we recruited players of similar level to Enzo, Chilwell and Nkunku back then instead of letting Conte load his rubbish onto our squad we'd have probably won again it before 2021.
June 21, 20233 yr moronic football fans dont seem to realise one of the main reasons we've had quite a few of our players linked with saudi is because they are muslim players and are happy to actually move to a muslim country. not to mention the players where we are getting the highest fee's from (havertz, kovacic, mount, gallagher etc) are all getting sold to other prem clubs by the looks of things🤣
June 21, 20233 yr Am hoping we continue to see good things from the club with Winstanley and Stewart leading our dealings. We need to restore our reputation on the market as not being soft touches. No more 62mill on Cucurellas, no more Lukaku loans. No more being short changed. Arsenal want Kai, they pay our price of 65mill. Now I hope to see we deal this way with Caicedo and other ins, and Mount and other outs.
June 22, 20233 yr didn't know Gallagher was getting soild. Don't think that's even more than speculation at this stage. Not saying it won't happen but its not like the other sales to date.
