To be honest I'm no longer convinced that we'd be any worse if Potter were still here.  It's nigh on impossible to work out what on earth Poch is trying to do, other than earn himself a big redundancy pay off maybe ?

We are on the same points, goal difference and league position as last season.

I reckon we would be doing the same under Potter. Less goals scored and less goals let in maybe.

There's a case we would be better. You have to question just how much of an impact both Jackson and Palmer have played into our attack as opposed to Potter having Havertz and Mount.

Defensively, its no question we were better under Potter. Think we conceded only 21 goals after 22 PL matches under Potter. We've conceded 35 under Poch after 22 PL matches.

A look at our FFP situation where, it is said, we need to raise "well over" 100mill in our profit not to breach rules for next season and that the other teams know this and want cut price deals or won't deal with us:

Swear that twat said the same thing last spring.

Maybe he did, and we did sell Havertz and Mount for very large FFP profits.

Not saying his word is gospel by any means, just something we should keep in mind and will be telling how we'll our owners have planned on a financial level.

Let's pretend he is right.

Gallagher - £40-50m

Maatsen - £35m release clause

Chalobah - £15-20m

Broja - £15-20m

Hall - £20m

There is £110m-125m right there in pure profit.

That's IF the PL clubs are willing to pay those fees.

Ok Hall is set in stone, the rest?

What if Chalobah remains injured? Broja is poor at Fulham and we only get Championship loan offers?

Dortmund cannot afford Maatsen?

Gallagher 1 year left on his deal and he does not want to be sold, but wants to go in a year for free so he can pick his own next club?

It could all happen. He did suggest PL sides would not pay much as they do want to help us out of FFP issues.

He suggested the same bollocks last year and we ended up completely fine. We even sold Mount in July so we met the alleged threshold before then.

It's illogical to suggest that clubs will bandy together to not pay a players value.

If Gallagher is worth 60m he will be sold for 60m

Clubs will care more about missing out on the player than whether they hurt us financially.

But the point being is that is our valuation. We are saying Gallagher is worth £60m. Who will buy him for that.

Nobody in Europe has any money. From 8th down in teh PL will struggle to justify £60m for a midfielder of Gallagher's current standing and remember he has to be sold before the Euros.

The importnat point being made is that we have to effect these sales by the 30th June, the Euros will take two weeks out of that and we had virtually no enquiries over teh last month.

Also Lukaku, Kepa and Ziyech (?) will be back as well.

Indeed. So far Everton were the only ones to out down even 40mill.

We can say Broja is worth 50mill, Gallagher is 60mill but they are only worth what someone is willing to pay and if all we get offered for Conor is 10mill or he leaves for free In a season then his value is 10mill.

Lol no, I go on YouTube to see if Jan has dropped a video, or other guys like Younes.

I also watch the talk sport clips with Cundy and O Hara as I find them pretty funny so I guess that is how that video came up in my feed.

No the point was that clubs won't pay 60m for Gallagher because they want to hurt us. Levy thinks we have to sell cheap so he won't buy. But if Tottenham are the only one willing to pay money for Gallagher, then hes worth a lot less than 60m.

So you're right. Clubs will pay what the player is worth.

The market dictates the price.

No one thought we’d be selling Jorgi, Havertz or Mount for the price we got for them, and they’re not worth half of the money the club got for them. So all that talk about not getting our valuation on Gallagher is pure rubbish. Hopefully we don’t sell him but, if we do we’ll get what we’re asking for or near.

Also, all this doom about Chelsea breaking FFP and getting points deducted keeps coming back like a zombie. Even after it was made crystal clear that the Club is pretty well within the regulations and there’s no investigation. And it’s all thanks to fans sharing and retweeting all that dribble that a few journeymen post online to get clicks and money out of it.

I think Todd wanted to build on a winning side, he just went about it wrong. He recruited experience, Sterling, Koulibaly, Aubameyang etc. Players that have not worked out, but he added experience with just a few youth projects.

He spent far too much, handed out stupid wages to them, Carney, Wes Fofana etc he would have led us down a bad financial path imo.

Then Clearlake took over the project and everything became about youth and making money off lower wages, even though a lot of transfer fees have still be way to high.

Both have got it badly wrong.

Aren't we still under investigation for the alleged breaches under Abramovich though ?

What happens when we run out of academy players to sell in order to balance the books in order to comply with FFP ?

Or when we run out of homegrown players that are required to be in the squad ?

We sell an injury free Nkunku to PSG and Palmer to United for 80mill a pop! ;)

Jan is pretty level headed.

Younes is an OTT drama queen calling for sackings left right and centre.

Ok match going fans and those in the London area, is on you all to let the owners know this is not acceptable and you won't put up with it.

Cause us international fans, TV fans and the YouTube and X posters make no difference.

You stopped the super league, help save our club....again....

I don't know what this sh*t is, maybe London Blues sponsored by Clearlake, but it isn't Chelsea any more. They've ripped everything out the club that we built and replaced it with soulless yes men and mercenaries, with very few exceptions.

Someone let me know when AFC Chelsea is formed so I can enjoy some football again.

They've ruined us. Going to go down as one of the worst ownerships of the Premier League era.

There is no coming out of this in a positive light now. They took a huge gamble, one that could never have any hope of working, and it's predictably not paid off. No European football means no money, and with money still owed to other clubs, it means we will sell the quality remaining at the club to avoid FFP sanctions. The club is in a very dark place right now and it's only going to get worse over the next few years.
