Don't think @RIP Mourinho was overlooking Mikel as he had made mention of average players

I would reluctantly play Reece James over Azpilicueta. Azpilicueta is good defensively, but going forward he just isn't good enough. 

I thought Dave, Kante and CHO worked well together last night. They all linked up well and one several occasions Dave ended up overlapping in to the box and attack the near post which nobody has done all season. Nearly got a goal that way with some quick one touch build up. 

If anything he was a bit suspect defensively yesterday!

More I see of our crop of young players the more i think a registration ban could be the making of them.

I'd probably have Ampadu or Drinkwater as the midfield back up for Jorginho.

I'd also consider Ola Aina for left back.

Amen. You have to feel sympathy for Jorginho trying to follow the impossible and emulate the "Mikel" role. 

My God imagine Mikel in Sarri's Napoli team! They would have won everything!!!

Reece James is a hell of a player, just scored a brilliant goal for Wigan.

Torino has an option to buy Aina. Pretty sure they're going to pick that up, so I don't think he'll be an option next season.

This basically sums up our the majority of transfer dealings these past 5 years, incompetent and completely lacking in any sort of direction

It was clear to see someone like Zappacosta was never going to be good enough for us, everyone could see it. But we decided to blow over 20 million on him while neglecting our academy prospects.

We really need a DOF right now. We've wasted an absolute ton of money on average crap and have barely improved our first 11 these last 5 years

Sarri will be the coach. Hazard atm looks like he is out. Pulisic is in and CHO and RLC will have main roles in the squad. I think Willian might be out with maybe Cahill. Kovacic will head back to RM and Gonzalo will go back to Juve. 

We will use a couple of our loanees. Maybe Tammy is a bit stretch but Michy could be back.

Our squad will have Sarri's system better in them but if Hazard leaves we will drop a level and that will mean another 4-6 finish in the Prem.

Assuming the transfer block goes ahead, I think Willian would stay yet Pedro would go. I think Tammy would come back yet not Bats and I would think we would look to keep Giroud for another season.
