February 28, 20197 yr Author Its becoming increasingly clear that our best midfielder with ball at feet is RLC.
February 28, 20197 yr Liked this commentary from footy365 https://www.football365.com/news/chelsea-2-0-tottenham-16-conclusions The media will happily switch the crisis baton to Tottenham if they do lose to Arsenal, having watched Chelsea let down everybody by being infuriatingly professional and motivated on Wednesday night. There will be no Sarri sacking; there will be no bloodshed; there will be no wringing of hands about this despicable club where the players decide on a daily basis whether they want to play well. At least not yet. Kane was a little lucky that Marriner either did not see him move his head into that of Azpilicueta, or decided to diplomatically ignore the incident. The intent was certainly there. But, typical of Kane’s night, he did not make clean contact.

I thought Jorginho was poor again, and as loathe as I am to criticise him given how good I thought he was in the beginning of the season, he just looks tired and leggy and out of ideas. A spell on the bench might do him a bit of good and let us run with a midfield of Kante, Kova and RLC I agree with you. Kovacic lacks end product but he gave us a strong midfield last night. Jorginho, when not playing Sarri's style (and last night was not), should be benched as he can't get his distribution job done. A midfield of RLC (hope he stays fit), Kovacic and Kante would probably suit better the intensity of last night's game.
February 28, 20197 yr Thought jorginho played well yesterday. As well as anyone can in that role. Helps when kovacic is playing so close to him. The occasions where he was caught in possession were times when no one offered him an outlet.
February 28, 20197 yr Jorginho had a good game multiple times he intercepted key passed and make key tackles this narrative that was started by the media to undermine him needs to stop
February 28, 20197 yr A deft drop of the shoulder by Tripper to send Lloris the wrong way. Well done.
February 28, 20197 yr A great result. Always lovely to beat the Spuds. A brilliant atmosphere at the Bridge. Best in a while. Kante and Pedro were brilliant. The tackle by Pedro in our box was superb. And to see the away end empty so quickly after Trippier's own goal was hilarious. Popped into the pub after the game. Goals were shown on the TV to loads of cheers.

Any other manager and he would surely have been subbed. Kovacic obviously has good feet, but boy does he need to go the local End Product shop and buy a big box full. a lot of huffing and puffing as usual and didn't last the last 90 minutes again...ruben looked more dangerous in a fraction of the time

'It's happened again, it's happened again, Tottenham Hotspur, it's happened again'.

Didn't stop Tottenham using the word every 5 minutes We sung the Barcelona real Madrid song, the word was replaced with c**ts. Which seems appropriate
February 28, 20197 yr Is it possible for someone to check what were the odds at the start of the 2018/2019 season for Tottenham to go a full season without a single draw? I would think those odds would be 1000:1, and I would surmise it has never happened in the premier league. Not saying that it won't happen in the next 10-11 games, but still it is a crazy stat.
February 28, 20197 yr Looks like Harry Kane is in trouble for his Head Butt towards Azpi during last night's Game.

It definitely felt that way. Because they didn't sing it at all for the first 20 minutes, then it seemed to be every other song.
February 28, 20197 yr MSN to the rescue, again not on the BBC: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/premier-league/harry-kane-can-count-himself-lucky-he-shouldve-been-sent-off-against-chelsea-for-attempted-headbutt-on-cesar-azpilicueta/ar-BBUaOoq?ocid=spartandhp

February 28, 20197 yr A great result which makes one wonder where this team had been hiding all along. If we continue to play like this we really can press for a top four finish. All the backline and the midfield did very well. Up front is still a concern - it was two Spurs errors (thank you very very much) that led to our goals and for a while there we looked like having another blank.Maybe it just ain't easy. Everyone is parking the bus nowadays when out of possession and Spurs didn't get a shot on target.

Agree if we continue this level of intensity and application that top four is a good probability not sure if it is due to dropping Kepa and using Emerson that has put everyone on notice or something else. Thought Pedro's goal was well set up with some magic by him at the end, the other of course I agree was a Spurs error. Also think our attack is not great Higuaín is not linking well with the other players and looks a little off the pace, though does look an intelligent player
February 28, 20197 yr 11 hours ago, The Brit said: Whatever happens now this season, at least we fcuked that lot up in two competitions... now my usual match of the day rant...just catching up with highlights and as always the coverage of Kane incidents/behaviour was shocking...started with commentator suggesting Chelsea had no reason to complain/were making a meal of things about Kane pressing high up the pitch and putting Luiz under pressure. He ignored it was a shocking lack of sportsmanship - we knock ball out for Trippier to get treatment and instead of giving it back at half way line, they knock it long and Kane chases after it to seek an advantage. leads to bust-up as our players rightfully get pissed and that's when Kane aims the headbutt at Dave...not for first time, motd panel look at blatant red card retrospective job involving Kane and dismiss it, laugh it off. Same with elbow on Luiz later on (although that was more of a 50-50). Fed up of this bollox with Kane and spurs when every time Chelsea player does anything, they highlight it and pass judgement, call for bans etc Very much like the media and Shearer, gloss over the fact he kicked Lennon in the throat.
