Good results for CFC today - by my calculations 75 points should get the job done but we are talking about Chelsea who seem to find reasons to underachieve

9 points is the only guarantee unless Arsenal drop more points. They’re 2 better off on GD.

At this rate it won’t matter who finishes fourth because based on this season we’d all get slaughtered in the Champions League anyway.

I don’t know. We tend to excel as n Europe, even when struggling domestically.

It's like no one wants the top 4.

It's in our hands now. Three wins and we'll qualify. Once upon a time I'd back us 100 percent from here. If only we could have cloned JT and Lamps and their leadership.

It's not that, the issue is the teams chasing top 4 are playing twice a week with European football and the opposition has a week to prepare and additionally can often play counter-attack footy as they don't need to win anything, IMO.

Well it's coming down to the last three league matches and EL.

The 4th spot is just teasing us again, it looked all gone 24 hours ago and now it's back. I bet we will see plenty of dramas before the weekend ends. My guess is we will draw with United, Arsenal draw against Leicester, and it back to where we are now again. This is the best time to play United, they looked like the Jose team 6 months ago. Granted they still have players to hurt us, but their defence and midifeld are all over the places

We're up against a team on their worst run of form for half a century and a team who can't win away, and we have our fate in our own hands.

Aslong a 1 of the points come at OT then i imagine 4 points will be enough.

We keep being sh*t and climbing the table. Who da thunk it. 

Once again, we're in a driving seat to claim the top four spot. Don't have to depend on others, just win the remaining three matches and it's ours.

But who am I kidding, I have no faith whatsoever in this team under this manager, especially under pressure to deliver the result.

We could probably get through the group phase, even if we finished second in the group but first time coming up against anyone semi-competent we'd struggle with the team as it is right now. 

If by some miracle we do finish top four we really have to hope we avoid the transfer ban this summer because we're going to need all the reinforcements we can get!

Champions league is a lot different to

EL.    Not as many part timers to play.

On the plus side I’d imagine Arsenal and Man U fans are being hyper pessimistic and bemoaning their recent form even more so than us.

Lately, us, Arsenal and United appear to be having a 3 way competition as to who is the least sh*t and there is no obvious winner.

So last night underlined that. Just as we thought we were sh*te, both United and Arsenal go and outdo us! Can only hope United are just as poor again Sunday and we aren't as bad as we have been.

It will be great to finish 4th, but you cant help thing it will be a medal for being a bit less sh*t than the others. City and Liverpool aside, it really has been a poor season, with us, Spurs, Arsenal & United all being weaker than we were back when Conte won us the PL in 16/17.

Except we can't get to 75 ... we're on 67 with 3 games left, so there is no combination of available points that will give us 8 points from 3 games ... 3 wins gets us to 76 points, 2 wins and a draw is 74.

3 games left and it's in our own hands now, 76 points or bust.

 

We've got 6th, 8th and 10th team from the table left to play. 1 home game and 2 away. We will get 3 points from 9 I reckon. Away in particular we are awful. 

If we lose to MU our lads will go f**k it, all in the EL basket. Not a very nice end to the season ahead in terms of Prem I fear. 

I'm feeling confident for it now. Rudi is due back soon to strengthen the backline (really hope in time for Utd), and we were much better going forward last game. Let's finish 3rd and win the EL, it's clearly the right thing to do.
