It's getting ridiculous at this point. Last season he couldn't finish the season opener, now he starts beaking down before the season even started.

Not even during a game.  If you can't get through training it's going to be tough.

Minor calf strain. Typical pre season injury but worrying because it’s Reece

Hamstring again it said. Where is the source for a calf strain. Calf is good, hammies again bad potentially

Apologies, I’ve no idea why I typed calf instead of hamstring

No worries. My heart lifted a beat when I read your post, but even that's been dashed now :laugh2:

Is this the worst pre season.

Man this is rough, got to feel for him. Any other body part and I’d be less worried but hamstring suggests the surgery hasn’t fully solved the problem.

Luckily we have gusto but we are at the point we are going to have to consider planning for life without him if this carries on

Nah, they'll be looking to sell him. Pure profit mate

And it will be the right decision this time. Great player but not everyone is built physically to withstand the rigours of being a professional athlete.

Not talking about him actually,  I was referring to Acheampong. But you are right. Probably time to cash in but again dwindling asset value with every injury set back.

‘Surgery discomfort’. Thought it was a new tear.

Not so serious then. Makes sense given he’s played a lot of football and hasn’t done anything this intense since his surgery.

Hopefully that’s all it is.

Fingers crossed it is just a minor tweak following return from surgery. Although we've seen this kind of thing before where a "minor injury" leads to player disappearing for months on end.

He is out for first 3 games anyway - so hopefully it has zero impact on the team.

However there are a couple of players that need to be playing for their future this season, and that is in terms of both quality and quantity. James, Chilly, Fofana, Nkunku and Lavia all need to be fit and available for at least 25-30 games this season. If they are not, then I think time to move them on.

Hopefully that is all it is, but even with Nkunku last season, the sources to the club downplayed the severeness of the injuries then turned out it was worse than suspected both times.

Possibly scar tissue then. It's a horrible thing, I had it when i did my collateral ligament. My treatment was basically a physio rubbing the scar tissue for 10 minutes at a time to break it down, the pain was ridiculous. I'm pretty sure there's a much less medieval treatment now ha ha...

You and your odd massage requests.....

....did you ever manage to get hold of one of those 'milking' tables?
