So let’s assume worse case scenario that we lose to Liverpool and both United and Leicester win their games, table would look like this:

Leicester - 65

United - 63

Chelsea - 63

We would definitely need to beat Wolves and we would qualify regardless of whatever United or Leicester result was.

That right?

No, United will be at 65 points. So even if we beat Wolves, we could be out of top 4 if Leicester and United draw due to goal difference. Really we can’t afford to lose another game, even against Liverpool.

i think ManU and Leicester have the advantage in the head to head so if either one of these teams have 66 points we are out

United are getting top 4, no doubt about it. It's Leicester we need to drop points and Sheffield just let us down big time, useless c**ts. Spurs have hit a bit of form though I think, hopefully they get the 3 points, but honestly with the way we've been playing... Is it a given we can win our last two games???

So we really need Jose to do us a favour  and try to get something out of the Liverpool game.

We don't need anything from the Liverpool game if Foxes manages at most a draw against Spurs. In that case:

United - 65
Foxes - 63
Us - 63

They get past us on goal difference. However, it will be in our hands the final day and if we win we are guaranteed a top 4 finish.

Ah ok, so we basically need Leicester to drop points. Anyone got a dodgy lasagne?

It is also on this day that I was reminded that Andy Townsend was not birthed like normal humans, but instead was squeezed out of his mother's(?) rectum, before landing in the toilet bowl in which he took his first breath.

It doesn't matter what story he told you personally about the circumstances of his birth, he'll change his story afterwards.

What is even funnier is OGS interviews. Insisting the Villa pen was a pen despite biased United legends like Keane and Schmichael saying it was not and now today insisting the ref got that right too.

Those two decisions last night sum up VAR, particularly when it’s come to United this season. Lindelof has kicked Zaha’s ankle as he’s done a step over. Whether he’s clipped the ball or not, he’s stopped Zaha going for the ball by bringing him down, it’s a penalty and if that was on Rashford or Bruno you can guarantee they’d have given it.

The offside is actually even worse in my opinion - The margin for error in the frame rate is so small for them to give things like that offside. It’s like Sterling’s last season or earlier this season, i can’t remember due to how long ago it feels and looking at the still imagine. To me it looks like his foot is in line with the blue line (onside) not the red one.

What particularly bothered me is that it wasn't "clear and obvious". No grounds whatsoever to overturn the goal. Coupled with the penalty shout (and the fact that Man Utd scored their opener from the ensuing counter attack), they could have counted themselves lucky to have walked away with one point, let alone three. Awful, awful officiating.

Like I said last night I really don't like being part of the 'foil hat' brigade. I even found myself in the very uncomfortable position of agreeing with Keys and Gray's drunken post-match rantings.
