Welcome Hakim Ziyech

It’s probably a concern for a player of his type when joining a new club that other players will think he is overdoing it. He’s clearly been well received here and I wish fans were there because he would quickly realise he is a fan favourite already.

A lot of our players are low risk players. They rarely try the crazy attempted passes that Cesc went for regularly. It’s mostly about possession and this has been drummed in by a few managers. Frank likes players to express themselves though and Ziyech just likes to try anything. He’s extremely creative and it has been appreciated by his teammates.

Creative players always have a tendency to over do it. They're risk takers.

Salah looks great on highlights, but he also loses the ball and gets dispossesed a lot, Klopp doesn't mind though. Pulisic is more wasteful than Hazard ever was, but in my opinion, he can get far more goals and assists than Hazard ever did because he takes more risks and is far more direct.

I love risk takers. It’s the passive players I find boring.

He scored from a long range free kick... Giroud, Jorginho, Kovacic, Ziyech, Kante all scored for their national teams.

Werner also.

  • 2 weeks later...

Arguably his worst game for us so far in his short career with Chelsea.

Felt as though he had more joy in the 2nd half when Frank clearly asked him to occupy the half spaces on the inside left by Hojberg and Sissoko when they covered the full backs wide, I also think he had the best opportunity of the game on his stronger left foot in the box and should've done a lot better.

I also did not think he had a great game either, i noticed he got a card yet missed the build up to it.

Was he preventing a Spurs break or just too lazy to run back?

I think it was Son or reguillon running into the box at pace and he brought them down.

I would say a decent yellow considering the threat which was posed.

Yeah he has been really poor. Let’s hope he doesn’t have these kind of games too often.

One bad game doesn't mean he's been really poor, he's looked top drawer until yesterday, just couldn't get going.

First 20 minutes in he looked like our best player. His link up play with Giroud and Reece was spectacular, that bit of skill and layoff he gave to James was beautiful that lead to the equaliser.

I'm praying he's okay and coming back very soon, quality player.

Obviously it’s still early days and this season is like no other, but that’s his second injury this season and we’re only  11 games in. It’ll be a bit of a worry if both he and Pulisic continue their current injury records. Although I remember Hazard getting injured more early on when he came. He does just ooze class when he’s playing so he will be a big miss if it’s a few weeks over just a busy period!

f**king hamstring... He's going to be out for over a month lets face it.

December we can officially write him off. Time for Callum to step it up, but please don't start with Mason on the wings again.

Big loss, but needs to come back stronger.  Good timing to have Pulisic back, albeit very different players.  Said this before when Pulisic was out, but these are the chances Odoi must take.  Again though, Ziyech is quality and a big loss to this team as we break down defenses.

Big miss and wish him a full & speedy recovery he’s a difference maker, eye for a pass, wizard of a left, but that’s what squads are for, luckily Pulisick came through 2 games w assist & a goal. CHO up and running. These type of injuries are plaguing all of our rivals hence Klopp rant but the club need the TV dosh to fund players like this bloke !

So we’re going to sign a winger in January?

Doubt it, we don't really need any signings, pointless wasting money on panic buys during that inflated window.
