Somehow this feels pretty predictable. Sticking to what works last time. We shall see.

Sometimes we do this then need to switch, I would also have started with this too.

I hope I'm wrong but I think this is going to backfire.

Firstly when has playing 3atb worked in consecutive games? It's a horses for courses formation suitable for certain opponents. Liverpool are perfectly set up to destroy 3atb, Salah and Mane destroy the half spaces in that formation constantly.

Secondly, no rotation, we will be shattered in the second half.

Agree 100%,

Iam happy with the cfc line up ,but the only player that brings me out in panic attacks Even before the game starts is

rudiger going on recent form . Hope after first 10 mins rudiger has put my mind to ease somewhat

I am afraid it won't take that long. First half is where you will feel it, and 2nd half is where the adjustment takes place.

I feel Rudiger is going to have a bad night.

Ohh, Frankie again after good result against particular team repeats the same 11 against completely different team. Let's hope he does get unpunished this time, but I'm skeptical.

Can't play 3 at the back agains this lot.  I can only assume that both James and Alonso will sit deep and they will be pushed back anyway.  Would have preferred Tammy for a bit of pace or even a false 9 up front, Giroud will be knackered from the weekend.

That thinking is what caused those miserable home defeats Vs Valencia and Southampton.

5 at the back against Liverpool makes sense though surely.

I hope you are wrong too but what you say makes a lot of sense.

Rudi has never had 2 decent games in a row has he? ...probably score the winner ::HeAdS:::

As long as the 2 wing backs don't push too much forward, which is what they are for (after all, it is a 3-4-3 formation).

Jorginho in a midfield two always gives me the fear.

Him and Kovacic were a brilliant partnership (admittedly they made a few cock ups) during our best run of results earlier in the season. When Frank shoehorned Kante back in it ruined our momentum.

Proven as a false exaggeration already ::MooNeY::

I knew when I saw you quoting me mentioning Kovacic it’d be a negative response. If I was Mourinho I’d claim you had a campaign against him...

And also shattered for the wolves game if we don't get anything out of this match... I just hope the boys realize that a draw is not a bad result today

Not atall. We've matched them playing 4atb three times and every team that have tried this formation against Klopps Liverpool with the exception of Conte's Chelsea have been done badly, Roma the most high profile case.
