Azpi is better positionally yet does do the odd foul when out of position or to stop a break.

Normally he is clever enough not to get booked though not always.

One battle to watch.

Hate playing Crystal Palace annoying team.

That’s our best defensive line up, we have all wanted to see that, if they perform well as a unit I doubt it will change again.

Front line is also good, looking forward to see Pulisic come on. 
 

On paper this should be a game we win but place are tricky.

Reece hasn't impressed me defensively, he's still learning but he doesn't seem to be aware of what's going on around him when we have to defend set pieces....but there again neither does anyone else it seems

But we play him for his attacking prowess and he made 6 key passes vs WBA more than any player in any game this season so far. He's also according to who scored been statistically the best RB in Europe's top 5 league's so far.

That's how I read it, Dave to stop Zaha. Strange though as James best defensive display was against Zaha.

I know i've said this a couple of times already but i'm really not getting why there's such agg over Ziyech going to Morocco.

He has played one half of football since March, he needs match practice to be fully upto speed to play PL and CL and we have no more League Cup games to ease him in either, Morocco are practically giving him a pre season and getting him upto speed for us, we should be delighted not outraged.

This wouldve been the team i went with, with maybe James for Azpi given its a home game against a Palace side we should be beating. 

Really need a win today, if we get a performance aswell, that would massive.

I think Argo's view should be ours as well. He might just get an easier time in a friendly in comparison to the PL.

Pretty good lineup. Might have chosen, James but I think azpi is a reasonable choice and might have gone for kova instead of Jorginho but overall a good lineup. 
 

if that teams not good enough to win we are in for a crap season.

Benefit: he gets some minutes under his belt

Cost: we lose him for longer and are forced to play mount on the wing ..

Loftus cheek has lost more than a year due to a friendly . Call me selfish but I am not a fan of injured/recovering players being called up.

I agree but we’re leaking goals & I can totally understand why Frank is looking for a more solid defensive unit before worrying about the attacking aspects of the RB. (Although one of RJ best performances for us was against Palace to be fair). The second part is just evidence of how deceptive stats can be IMO. I like Reece but he is still raw, particularly in the defensive phase. There is not a chance he should he the best RB in Europe when he’s been directly involved in 2 or 3 goals in 2 of our 3 opening PL games.

Jorginho will most probably stay. He is playing all the time. We'll probably move Ruben out but that is it for the dealings. 

I don't see Rice or Partey or similar coming in.
