I’d love a convincing victory and a clean sheet.

We have been good lately but we haven’t turned up against Liverpool and Man Utd. Today is the day we make a statement.

At least at those points, we hadn't really clicked then.  We will be up for this I reckon.

Spuds are not to be underestimated. Jose in his second season with a club has a fantastic track record. He won the cl with inter and Porto ffs. He knows a lot of stuff  and he’s been around the block a few times.

son and Kane are fantastic players.

also their defence is quite tight and obviously the will try and catch us on the break.

I think we can win   I fancy Werner against aurier  if James is fit team kind of picks itself with havertz first sub  me without knowing how fit Pulisic is I’d be loath to risk reinjuring him

Lamps tends to play three CBs and wing backs in the bigger matches, also did both fixtures against these last season. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Azpi/Rudi start as third CB. Mourinho normally also often plays for a point or a scratchy 1-0 away against rivals, so it could be a cagey one. Personally I hope it isn’t and we batter them. Let’s go boys!!!

I feel there is nothing special about spurs. They are playing basic football. Chelsea should be beating them silly. All they are just trying to do is prevent you from a scoring. I don't think they have any special attacking strength.
That is why if Lampard is afraid right now, I will be sad. Because that may mean that he doesn't know what he has.

When you have a player like Havertz, and you want to play against a team that will sit back, he may use his genius to split them open.

That is why I will not get why Lampard may be afraid of them. I feel the way we prosecuted that Rennes match was not so good. When preparing for Spurs, you need to frighten spurs. Play your first eleven against Rennes, let them be leading 3-0, then rest them at 70 minutes.

How many times during Lampard's time as a player was he benched in a Tuesday match, for a match on Sunday. Right now, with the way we played Rennes, i think we are maybe sending a message to our players that spurs are better than them. But is that true?

We played spurs in the Carling cup, and I feel we played better than them, I think they equalised very late in the match. So why are we afraid of them. They are above us in the league but maybe that's because Lampard did not quickly get the right formation.
And in the first place self, why would Lampard be playing Jorginho as a DM in the premier league? Lampard was a player for Chelsea, was that what he learnt when he was playing for us. Maybe matches against Westbrom, Southampton and United, that we drew, maybe we would have won.

So maybe we would have been above Spurs by now. So why are some people afraid of spurs. Assuming we wanted to play Liverpool right now, maybe I would have been maybe afraid bcos maybe their attacking play is special, but I don't think spurs' attacking play is special.

I think they sit at the back, so if Chelsea has the chance to have a lot of the ball, I feel we can defeat them. For me, the first person that will be on that team sheet tommorow will be Havertz  because I feel we need his passes. Then I think we also need Pulisic maybe as extra threat.  But Lampard may say Havertz is just coming from isolation. When we bought Havertz, how many days did we allow him to rest, before we started playing him?

Now what is the point of playing Kovacic when there is no creativity? You put strikers on the pitch, nobody to create for them. Then, if Pulisic is back fit, please play him from the start. If we play Abraham and he's not able to interplay with other players, then we may be playing like 10 men against 11 spurs players and I don't think we can afford that against spurs.

So maybe Pulisic starts. But I hope Lampard understands these things. Maybe that's why a coach like Mourinho is better than some of these other coaches.

For the first time in his tenure Lampard has a fully fit squad to choose from, and that is due to the fact we have a great squad and he has rotated the squad well, he has to continue to give minutes to Azpillicueta, Jorginho, Giroud, Emerson, CHO as you can see how players from other clubs are picking up so many injuries, hopefully we can keep our players fit and we would be favourites for the title.

It’s this odd set up they have where Kane will drop deep hoping some brain dead CB will follow him.

Kane has one helluva pass on him.

You're right. Then that's our job today to put someone to track him.

Thanks.

Game Day. It will be tough. Jose is a top manager so will make it hard. For the 40 years that we’ve owned them, since Tottenham became our bitch. Tottenham’s tactics will the Tottenham way they’ll just kick the sh*t out of us, they’ll be diving at every feeble attempt The Tottenham Way, kick, dive and cheat. We have to stay stronger, play our game and victory will be our.

Come on Chelsea, we are the Pride of London, smash, mash and slice up these Spuds

Thiago isn’t some inexperienced defender. It’s mental how confident we feel with Thiago yet Spurs fans want to ‘expose him’ - ?

Agreed and I’m confident. I also realistic that we haven’t really played anyone decent yet and come away from it with a victory.

This is the perfect game to start. Liverpool, Man Utd and Sevilla are in the past.

Keep Kane quiet and that’s 80% of their attack nullified.

Son, for me, is every bit as dangerous. He’s pacey, has no weak foot, skilful and prone to diving (like Kane).  Need to be very careful against both.

When Kane drops deep he'll be in Kantes patch.

I agree we have a good set up for it. Our defenders need to stay disciplined with it though. How many times do you see the CB follow Kane despite knowing what he’s doing? Thiago won’t though.

Are spurs also going to play three at the back? So, Mourinho will play his normal 4 at the back, he is not afraid of us, why should we be afraid of him?

With all the players we have now, play 3-4-3? Because our midfield is not good enough? Or our defenders are not good enough?

It will be disrespectful to players like Chillwell, James, Zouma and Thiago, if we cannot play our normal 4 at the back.

I don't want few attackers on the pitch please, I want many attackers on the pitch. I don't think we are Tottenham who defend and defend and defend, we need to attack.

I totally disagree. Their defence is terrible and they’re missing Alderweireld.

Aurier, Doherty,  Dier, Sanchez and Davies are all poor. Regulion is decent enough and Alderweireld is good. Hugo Howler had had a decent season but may be out. You need to attack their backline from the off and have a go. It’s basically allowing the front 3 to press with a reasonable defensive line to stop their balls over the top. We will win today.
