I think many on here are underestimating how much Lukaku has grown as a footballer. Continues to score goals but now plays for the team.

I honestly think Kane is going to be another Hazard for who ever buys him. His ankles are wobbly and i believe he gave his best years to Spurs. Hope i am wrong though 

Cant be bothered to read through the rest of the comments to see if it has already been said but kane gave an interview with f**k wad Neville whilst playing golf and when asked which one player he would like to play with, without hesitation he said KDB. So he is probably holding out for city.

On the first couple of pages I noticed alot of people want Kane to join us. I too would like kane but not to score for us. I want mr A to buy him, only to shove him in the reserves for the rest of his career.

f**k spurs over by taking their best play of all time and f**k their best player of all time over by never letting him play again and beat all the records he so desperately want.

I disagree, I think Kane guarantees you 20 goals per season at the very least for the next 5 years. He’s like Alan Shearer, they just don’t stop scoring.

I think it will take £150m to get Kane and think City probably will.

I thought if Conte took over at Spurs, Kane might stay yet not for Poch as he has not won anything.

So some of this movement might not start happening until the managers are sorted and if recent rumours are true it's Ancelotti to Madrid.

If true where does that leave Conte - Spurs bound or PSG or stick.

After losing to us City will make a big splash on Kane I feel. 

League cups, fa cups and even league titles to a degree are not so important now. Pep and the club especially need a CL to announce themselves on the top stage, and need a second one to solidify it.

Levy really should say "ok the money and all 3 of those players"

Not a huge fan of Jesus or Sterling however if you can get 100mill in and add them to Son up to AND a quality player like Laporte to your backline that is a cracking deal.

You could easily sell Jesus and Sterling in a year or 2 for another 60mill plus combined if you wanted to.

I'm reading the same that City are serious about Kane, hope it is Sterling that goes to Spurs, they deserve each other.

Jesus, Sterling & Laporte will not go to Tottenham ! All three are on top money & all three will want Champions League. Players go where they want these days, top players like that are not going to waste their careers playing for spurs.

I reckon £120m will get Kane.

Spurs are in a mess, top star likley off and they don't have a manager.

I've said for a long time that Tottenham won't sell Kane, I've not changed that opinion. City need to give 150m cash in my opinion or it's not happening

I am curious now seeing Kane toil for england if he's a good signing for either us or city. Everything is built around him at Tottenham and if he doesn't have that, does he struggle? 

 

I think Sterling prefers a move to Arsenal yet if that does happen what ever they get could offset the Kane money. 

I don't think Kane is playing well at the moment and agree at Spurs he is a key figure and often plays deeper like a No.10

At England he is leading the line which is a little different from his club role.

I also think his ongoing transfer saga is on his mind detracting from his on pitch performance. 

 

Bottom line is if we get a striker it’s Lukaku and that’s just reality. We are in the best league, best city won the CL but for some reason those top tier players are still not in our reach...why, I can’t say. But we can’t get city, utd, real, Barca and PSG targets

We did alright last summer. Havertz was highly sort after and he could have easily waited a year more and gone to a Bayern, City or Real.

Werner was highly rated too. Not many on her were unhappy we got him. Then our scouts did a top job getting Mendy.

We know Marina is a tough negotiator and we are after 2 or 3 of the right quality to strength us. So I dont think we are desperate to get it done fast. 

 

I love how this will deter young top tier talent from signing with Spurs knowing that Levy will never keep his word re letting them move on, and the fans will treat them like a villain no matter how much they do for the club prior to wanting better chances to win trophies.

Agree Barry this damages their brand.

I read a lot of things today knocking them, Bale, Modric both had to play up to move on.

Ferguson detested dealing with Spurs suspect that was the Sherringham deal.

 

Its also on Kane for signing such a long contract with no out clauses, particularly when you know the club in the form of Levy is going to maximise the value of that contract at all costs. Kane should have been well enough advised at that stage of his career to sign a contract which suits. Look at Haaland and his release clause. It just much better, everyone has options, but the player can't really lose unless form drops dramatically.

On a related note, I have just noticed Toby Alderweireld quietly went on a £13m move to a Middle Eastern outfit. 

 

If Kane goes to city, Pep will virtually be the England manager.
