Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2021/22

In a weird position of not knowing what I want to happen in this game. Perhaps a draw is ok to make sure arse don’t close the gap too much and minor hope of keeping touch with city remains.
didn’t think I’d ever have to be worried about the arse catching us.

City now remind me of the old dominant Utd sides…obviously good anyway but when struggling, always seem to have things go their way to bail them out, including opponents missing chances and doing stupid things like Xhaka and Gabriel did.

Now, If only meek Mason Mount would’ve done what Bernardo Silva did, which would be argue argue argue for a non-called obvious penalty, we would’ve gotten a penalty call against Brentford and been two up

I still don't get why kicking Pulisic on the shin wasn't a penalty on Wednesday

Yep, very Utd thing that. Good for us in terms of the blow to Arsenal but title race is fcuked, if it wasn’t already

They have quality but they also have luck on their side this City team.

City are good but every piece of luck and every decision going their way.

Another procession of a title race to look forward to.

You might look at this game and think that English refs are confused, but nobody is rooting harder for Newcastle to get relegate. Otherwise they´ll have to pick between Penalty for Pep or Death Penalty.

Arsenal have a lot of young players and City some very experienced professionals.

There was an example of this, one of the Arsenal players were running for the ball against Laporte and it used to be going shoulder to shoulder yet Laporte seems to swing his hips into the Arsenal player knocking him off balance. Arsenal especially Saka adamantly thought it was a foul, ref waved play on.

Key decisions went against Arsenal today and their younger players lost their composure.

Probably better for us with top 4 in mind.

It’s amazing how quickly it went from being the closest and most exciting three horse title race ever to a Man City procession. No team has ever failed to win the title with this big a lead at New Year. And that won’t change.

City’s dominance is very much starting to look like a mirror of the Bundesliga. They’re just too wealthy and well run on and off the field. I even fancy this might be the year they finally win the CL. No pressure at home and not a lot of opposition on the continent.
