60m+ on a backup CB is ridiculous even in the current market. We are stacked enough with 5, if we need one to cover for injury then we might as well see the options in January.

Yes it is and is because we took too long to agree a deal at 60mill euros, so 55mill pounds.

Maybe @trensa can confirm this rumour. Monchi has been said to have already told Marina only the full release clause will get Kounde for us now and he has also in turn told Kounde the deal is not happening so to report back after internationals.

Sorry but I can't see it. I've seen so many Azpi replacements and backups that couldn't breakthrough ahead of him.

Kounde will absolutely be taking a spot in the starting eleven if we buy him for 50-60m. No matter who is in front of him. 

I don't think we are able to buy him so late in the window. 

Jules Koundé seems to be further and further away from joining #Chelsea, despite his desire to leave. Sevilla are not 'bowing to pressure' from Kounde, and the Blues, who have been in 'constant negotiations', will have to pay his release clause.

He is willing to play for you and the clause is demanded now, a couple of weeks it was €70.

Yeap, he has a press conference tomorrow to talk about the market and make a balance. It is strange cause the market is already open, that's why I think any possibility of selling a player is closed.

He is out of our market now, we tried it a few weeks ago but we can not go desesperate to the market with a "last minute" face.

Also to be clear on the clause and why the de is off, his contract raises the clause by 10mill euros in the last 3 days of the transfer window. So 90mill euros, so what 77mill pounds.

Apparently Liverpool have made us an offer for CHO. TT does not want to let him go, however he will strongly consider it if the club agree to use his money sale plus Zoumas to pay the 90mill euro clause for Kounde, which Sevilla would have to accept. If not he won't release CHO for sale.

I wouldn't mind selling them Callum, even to Liverpool, I'm simply not convinced he'll ever set this league on fire, for me he's built for the Bundesliga. Would obviously have to be a very good offer, like 40m GBP.

Its insane to think that a 20 year old Hudson Odoi doesn't have it in him to set the league on fire. He has never been given a run of matches to actually catch form , we can't forget that Lampard stuck by Mount when every online Chelsea fan wanted Mount on the bench and called him Lampards son. Odoi is the most TALENTED player to have come out of our academy

TT will not permit loans for RLC or Ampadu if we do not sign Kounde and Saul. RLC will act as 4th choice to our midfield trio, Ampadu as 6th choice CB.

I'll admit it's a suspicion at most, and a risky one at that. Of course he's talented, just like Sancho, but in his 99 appearances for us he's never truly convinced me outside of counter attacks. But you're right, he has many years to work on that.
