Trevoh Chalobah

Shouldn't even consider letting him go for that kind of fee.

These Cobham lads are exactly the type of players we should be bulking out our squad with. More than happy to pick up 30 appearances a season and won't moan when he's not playing. No real drop of quality when he plays (actually an upgrade at most points this season).

f**k your pure profit, sell the duds that aren't part of the future like KK.

Good luck selling Koulibaly, he's 31 and his contract ends in 2026.

If we do get rid it's a loan and option to buy to someone in Italy and it's easy to say f**k your pure profit but if you're spending 600m in a window then we have targets to meet.

If we didn't have such a poor season and erratic transfers im pretty confident Mount would have signed a new deal by now.

Probably get a slap on the wrist for a minor breach of FFP. Take it and keep our homegrown talent that are better than the sh*te like KK.

The only thing I can see happening will have to mirror what we inevitably do with Lukaku. If Pochettino says he is not in his plans, than either Koulibaly puts both his club/international career at risk or he works with club on a contract settlement.

We’re overstocked in defence. James, Gusto, Sliva, Bads, Colwill, azpi, Cucurella, KK,  Trev, Chilwell - 10 defenders excluding Lewis Hall.

Azpi and Trev are easiest to shift. Apparently the club are open to KK leaving but no chance we sell him with his wages.

Pochettino is likely to play a back 4 so we prob need to shift 3/4 defenders.

If Koulibaly refuses to take a pay cut to join somebody else and we are forced to sell Chalobah, this isn't going to go down well with the fans. There is going to be a lot of bitterness aimed in Koulibaly's direction.

He wants to stay apparently so difficult to shift him. I agree, doesn’t look good keeping an old guy and sell youth

As I have said earlier we should just Malouda or Bogarde him if he refuses to leave. That would end his international career and he is Senegals captain so...

KK will stay as no other club will be foolish enough to offer him any where near the favorable terms that Mug Todd Bully did

Thus as the club needs to raise funds to offset FFP overages and also to acquire Mauricio's targets its pretty obvious that if other clubs offer hard cash for Academy  boys who represent pure profit on the books then its highly likely they will be sold, that means bye bye Trev !

Gallagher, Broja, CHO, Lewis Hall, Tino Anjorin, Ian Maatsen are all potential Academy graduate sales. Also still registered/ loaned out last season are Malang Sarr, Bakajokeoh, Baba Rahman & Ampadu might get a few mill generated by all of those sold off on the cheap. Brighton have offered 30 mill quid for Colwill but Bully has told them to jog on for now (as Club are apparently still in for Caciedo whose price tag is 80 mill + could mean Colwill stays there on loan or is a make weight in any deal). Dujon Sterling was sold to Rangers a few days ago.

Then we have players in the shop window or already plotting to leave - Kova, RLC, Mendy, Pully, Zyech, Dave, Kai; we have Kante who because he is unfortunately become a sick note will probably exit as well for a nominal fee.  Last of all the biggest conundrum of them all, Lukakau whose not scored many goals this season but has fairplay apparently scored Megan Thee Stallion, another loan or just take a hit to get rid, or even more fanciful he stays and works out for Mauricio.

The silver lining is of course Bully has done what he should of done a year ago and hired professionals to oversee all of these playing staff transactions.

p.s. I just noticed we have censorship introduced on this forum , one cannot type m-o-p-o as an algorithm changes it to Mauricio.

Seems a bit harsh? What exaclty has he done wrong to justify that, we signed him and offered him the deal. It's on us, not him and nearly every player was awful just like him this season and that's including our youth.

Trev has never had a season like Cucurella at Brighton, Koulibaly during his Napoli days and even Fofana at Leciester. Maybe just maybe that our season as a whole was awful and the players we signed actually turn up under Pochettino.

Remember Rudiger? Lampard wanted him sold and he turned out to be one of the best defenders in Europe under proper coaching.

Not done anything wrong, but we need his wages gone. I would advocate doing the same to Sterling too.

Not exactly a good way to do business if you want to make it an appealing club for players to join if that's how we treat experienced professional players.

If I had to choose between a serie A experienced defender of over 30 and a PL proven, Chelsea academy player under 30, I have no doubt about who I’d keep. I know it’s not KK’s fault but ours, but it’s neither Trev’s and he wants to stay and play for us.

I think doing good business has gone out the window for our club.

How we are going to find enough home grown players for next season, with RLC/ Mount/Gallagher/Chalobah all heading towards the exit door? I wouldn't be surprised if we 3-4 average English players for higher fee just to cover the gap

Our best centreback is a 38 year old serie a experienced defender.

The point I am trying to make is that it could be a case of not choosing and we are forced to sell Trev because we will have 6 centrebacks on the books. Colwill is going to want minutes and if he doesn't why would he think about signing a new deal especially after signing Fofana and Benoit.

Colwill, Silva, KK, Benoit, Fofana and Trev and we also have right back cover for James coming in.

There is alot of competition for Trev even if we manage to sell Koulibaly and we have a manager who prefers 4 at the back. Also there is no european football so how many games do you think he's going to play? Pochettino could like him you never know but history tells us that big money signings play. He's not the most favourable to leave but he is the most realistic and this window we need to be realistic about what could happen.

I do think we are quick to write off Koulibaly simply due to the season as a whole we had but it would not surprise me in the slightest if both Trev and KK are not here at the start of the season.

Thiago is also PL proven, while KK is still to prove that he can cut it in this league, and I don’t think that he has shown anything this past season to consider him better than Trev.

I accept that it’s probably easier to shift Trev, for those same reasons, better in the PL and younger. But there’s place for him if we could shift KK. We’ve got James and Gusto at RFB, Fofana-Chalobah at RCB, Colwill-Badiashile at LCB, Chilwell-Cucu at LCB. If Chalobah does not get many games, when Fofana appears to be injury prone, neither is KK. And if Fofana gets injured we are better covered with Chalobah.

But that’s my preference, the reality is what you say and that it will be easier to sell Chalobah, unfortunately.

Thiago in the mix and you have 5 CBs for 4 positions.. unless you do a back 5 that is one too many.

Yes, fair enough, I was looking to the future and Thiago will get less and less minutes. Still, my point is valid, I’d rather sell KK than Chalobah.

I think Pochettino will value some experienced heads. Koulibaly had a troubled season but it looks like we are exclusively going for very young players again this summer. If Koulibaly can find his form we will need players who's "been there and done that" in the side as well so thats why I wouldn't be at all surprised if Koulibaly players a huge part for us this season. Unfortunately I also think that is why Colwill is wary of extending as he'll be competing against a lot of quality CB's here.

Given Pochettino turned Eric Dier in to a useful player from DM, and he likes his DM to drop back in to the back line, and that Trev I'd a vastly better player than Dier (not strong much I know @just), how about the new gaffa develops Trev for the role and saves us some money?
