November 25, 20223 yr Utter professional this lad. Didn't moan or force a move. Quietly did his business, shined, and is rewarded for it. Loves the badge. Can't get much better than Chalobah as a squad player. He and Fofana as the RCB sets us up long term.
November 26, 20223 yr Good to see a talented academy player not holding the club to ransom over a new deal. Really is irksome how some academy players act like mercenaries like Sterling and Koulibaly.

January 13, 20233 yr Oh Trev what the heck was that? You are better than that, you even made Koulibaly looks semi decent with that awful display! Pull your bootlaces up and be a leader!
January 13, 20233 yr The one where they hit the post was similiar to his f**k-up against Liverpool with a dodgy header. He has potential, but he's still got a lot of mistakes in him and he looked rattled last night.

January 13, 20233 yr I wouldn't criticise him anywhere close to other more experienced players. He is still young and can make mistakes, and in moment like we are in the pressure can be worse. Having Azpi alongside him down that right didn't help him at all.

Chalobah to me looks like a lad that develops whilst playing. I thought Tomori was a bit like that as well. The more Chalobah plays the more comfortable, better and dependable he becomes. Being out through injury or squad rotation seems to make him slip back so that his confidence has to be rebuilt again. The problem of course, as i have said myself on a number of occassions, is that the PL and Chelsea's first team is not a proving ground. You have to come in with the tools already in place. Its too unforgiving. Hutchinson found that out a bit. He is goign to be great but he needs to come in already manned up and with teh quality and swagger already there. Match fitness and sharpness can be honed in teh side but you need to already be ready. Hoping it is a blip as i like Chalobah and would like him to ultimately replace Azpi to give us a further RB option as well.
February 20, 20233 yr Found this strange, Chalobah charging £166 for short personalised video messages 😅 this is a real and verified account. Why would any Premier League player need to do this? 🤦♂️😅 mind blown.

March 1, 20233 yr Sadly I can see him being sold this summer. Think he is an adequate squad option to have.

Silva on his last legs too. Chalobah/Fofana/Benoit/Colwill 4 good options we should be building with for the future.

As much as I rate him it would just be a waste of resources with Colwill here given what else we still have to do. As much as i wanted him (understatement) had we had an elite prospect at CM I wouldn't have advocated Enzo at that price either.

Reports again this morning we are still interested, coming from more reputable sources this time. Think both Chalobah and Colwill will both be up for sale in the summer, the latter likely to sign an extension to secure his value.
March 2, 20233 yr Just don't see how he could get game time in a back 4 system, and more defenders to come in the summer.
