It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Incredibly poor half… if we don’t have the personnel to play three at the back, why not change to bring out the best of what you have available? As it is we have no defence, poor midfield, no viable WBs and an attack that wouldn’t trouble Oldham.
Decision now has to be made, do we chase the game? and make changes or take a drubbing and finish second.?

That is appalling defending from Christensen for their 2nd. Literally just leaves his post as the last man.

Thought he was pretty poor for the 1st tbh, Thiago Silva clears that 10/10, because he knows what is around him.

How many times does Tuchel need to be told...stop f**king about with all the changes...Saul needs to be hauled off and CHO can go with him too...need some major surgery at half term to win this...

To be fair this is The game you play all your sauls and sarrs. We are riddled with injuries and inside a very busy period. We have no need to win it.

Well that started very, very well, and ended very, very poorly.

We were coping fine when their instinct was to sit deep, however scoring that early meant they had to position themselves higher and be more adventurous in possession.

Our pressing was unsurprisingly disjointed considering the makeup of the side, which meant we were less able to win the ball back quickly, putting us completely on the back foot. We've given away four massive chances as a direct result of a lack of cohesion and familiarity - two sloppy passes in midfield (one from Barkley, one from James), and two failed offside traps. Two very good saves from Kepa have kept us in the game.

I suppose the key thing is that this is an inevitable consequence of such a rotated (and experimental) lineup. Does Tuchel care enough about winning this game that he is willing to risk the players who are being rested specifically to avoid being risked?

Best of luck lads...

I can understand the changes tbh with all the injuries, althoughits ironic that kante and chilwell got injured in a game we couldve rested them if we were not going to win the group.

We are about as blunt as a hammer when countering right now.

How in the world Hudson Odoi doesn't get more out of that opportunity is laughable,

I think Werner's only skill while dribbling is a little hesitation and then trying to out run the defender. I never see him do anything remotely technical with the ball at his feet.

Yeah he's always thinking about the shot in the box. One shift and shot and he doesn't think about any other possiblities
