So Lukaku is a bit of a Bawbag...

Eh he was extremely good under Conte, as Conte made sure he was fast and in shape. Once he came here he ballooned in weight, and he's been terrible since, even after going back to Inter.

Pochettino is known for getting players in shape as well, but it's not worth the risk

Well Tuchel should have done what Conte did. ?  He's finished now though ,  gotta keep him away from our club.

Or , would it be 3rd time lucky ??

😂

Apparently we have told Rom and his people we are looking looking 40mill in a permanent move, so for them to go off and find such a suitor he is willing to go to.

No Inter loan, no loan period. Save your career or rot for 3 years.

Al Hilal offered 40mill, Lukaku rejected move. AC Milan in takes, Inter not willing to pay fee or take Rom in exchange for Onana or part exchange for Martinez as things stand.

I am sure he will do an interview again and embarrass us .. that is his modus operandi to force our hand.

A nice fine from the club will save us from having to pay some of his wages then.

I don’t think the feeling of love between  Lukaku and Inter is mutual.  This supposed loan then option to buy sounds like we’ll take him for one more year then tell him to sod off.   Why do they need a loan before they buy when they’ve just had him on loan for a year?

I’ve never know a player that will only play for one club even if they aren’t willing to buy him. Loan him to Strasbourg and rot him.

I would wonder how binding an obligation to buy is if these Inter owners default on repaying their loan and the club is taken away from them. Would the American firm they borrowed the money form have to sign Lukaku still?

I'm no lawyer but I'd assume the Americans inherit the whole kit and kaboodle, contracts, the lot. The loan is due in May 2024. I assume they will refinance it somehow.

How long a contract does he have with us?

f**k.

Off.

Obligation or he rots in reserves.

I have no idea why we don't just tell Inter to f**k off and that we won't be doing business with them ever again. We should be suing them and Lukaku over the original deal let alone putting up with any further "loan" nonsense.

2026.

We are holding him prisoner yet the idea of negotiating out of his contract has not once entered his egotistical brain.

Probably holding out for his loyalty bonus....

Yeah I agree, tell Inter to sod off. If faced with 3 years of no football vs going to Saudi and earning a lot more than here, Rom will be left with no choice.

The icing on the cake will be to appoint him a personal nutritionist :

See if we can totally kill his career by getting him up to over 20 stones !

How much is left of his book value? Also, anyone know what we received in loans? Is this offset?

I did the math earlier in this thread. More financial sense for ffp purposes to take a loan fee for a season than sell for under 40

Nizaar Kinsella saying after the club told Inter to f**k off back to Milan when they proposed a loan with option, they came back with a loan with obligation. Talks ongoing.

How much you want to bet Inter are proposing it turns into an obligation only if Lukaku meets certain appearances the cheeky f**kers.

Surely  the obvious thing to do is to tell them they have two options :

  1. Outright purchase for £40m (if that is the number we want)
  2. Loan with unconditional obligation to buy no later than the end of the loan. Loan fee £20m Obligation fee £25m (i.e. a premium on the outright purchase in respect of deferring the bulk of the payment).

I like option 1, and propose option 3 if they don't take option 1.

3. Tell Inter to pi$$ off, pay Lukaku to train on his own if he refuses moves that we accept.
