Summed up exactly how I feel about the Clearlake ownership. Everything seems to be heading in the right direction since the first panic window with Tuchel. In 3-4 years with Santos/Casadei/Kendry/Chukwuemeka/Datro etc. all having hopefully grown into their potential and the likes of Enzo/Mudryk/Madueke/Fofana/Badiashile etc. all entering their prime. Building for the future was always going to be a battle but we're making the right steps towards that. People like Egbhali and Todd are billionaires for a reason.

Didnt the legend called Didier sign for us after playing as a winger for Marseille? didnt turn out too shabby. 

Anyone who can lead a line and carry a goal threat will greatly improve our chances of scoring. Welcome to CFC, become a legend for us. Good signing with some luck.

Ofcourse I should be more cautious given our recent record but I feel like we've finally got a gamechanger in the attack.

Like a lot of you I'm quietly confident he's going to do well here.  Not sure about he balloon celebrations, but if he's scoring goals he can blown up as many as he wants.

I think so too, with his goalscoring ability might as well put him up top, our team was pretty good at creating chances pre-Lampard

Nkunku I think people are overrating.. we'll come back to this page on his thread when as usual people are crying at our signings. Chalobah isnt going to start for us, he needs to go somewhere where he can start. And that is Kante's best trait?

I've also always disliked the whole merging thread thing, I think it makes a thread look messy. When a player becomes a Chelsea player, it's better to just start afresh.

We can only hope that isn't the case though, can't we? I do think you have a point in fairness. I do remember many of us were hopeful of Werner and were extremely impressed with him initially. Before he turned into the reincarnation of Fernando Torres with his depressingly hilarious blunders in front of goal. 

I'm hopeful of Nkunku, and you should be too. He looks good, of course we should be wary, but we can't just keep writing every player off because we've signed a load of sh*t ones. Something has got to give eventually. I am hoping the banter era of transfers is officially over, maybe I'm delusional I don't know. I just know that since 2017 our market activity has been utterly atrocious, here's to new beginnings!
