Real vs The Medias finest (CL Final 22)

Featured Replies

There does seem to be a pattern of problems happening when Liverpool are involved and they are definitely getting a  free pass from the English press and government. But I think that it is fair to say that there were problems last night that did affect the innocent. And with it being Liverpool turning up, I can’t see why the authorities couldn’t be better prepared for the inevitable.

Rangers we’re very well behaved in Seville, which was a massive improvement on what they did in Manchester.

And whilst the press does paint the image of totally innocent football fans from England (Liverpool), it’s not five minutes ago since English fans and the FA and the Police collaborated on the European Championships final at Wembley. I don’t feel our press, FA, police or many fans have much high ground to stand on.

A lot of the media are defending Liverpool fans with statements like “I never saw any bad behaviour or ticketless Liverpool fans.” Errr..how would they know? And have you seen the videos on Twitter?

In all honesty, it was probably abit of both. Liverpool fans / locals trying to get in, poor organisation and heavy handed French police.

You just have to feel sorry for the genuine fans - particularly young and elderly.

I’m sure the press guys saw what they saw…but they’re assuming that what they saw is what took place throughout…

In truth, We and City, even PSG pushed Real more than Liverpool did. they had to come back to win. Yesterday they were never in real trouble ( sure GK made some good saves but that happen in all big games), and once the goal went in very few believed Liverpool be making a come back. Like someone said, if only we got 1 of the cup on penalties, this season be an average one for Liverpool. A parade arranged week before the final, and Klopp reckon he will win it for Ukraine ( come on, how desperate are you to be likeable?), they deserve the second price on the night.

surprise surprise, France now saying locals started the fence climbing, Could explain young kids getting tear gassed etc as they went after um and lots of collateral!

Probably some fake tickets but def looks like some classic subversion to excuse piss poor organisation of the event etc

If that was our lot the trophy would of been handed to real before kick off and the gov would of forced admin on us!

I've seen the pictures of the real vs. fake tickets posted by French authorities. They look very similar but the font of the text on the fake ones is a bit bigger. Looking at photos of Liverpool fans showing their tickets through the gate to the press they all look closer to the fake ones from what I could see. Could be wrong but knowing so many travelled without official tickets there is a good chance a large number bought these fakes out of hope once they got there. And noting how close to the real ones they look I can understand how these fans were convinced they were not fakes.

I've seen one video of someone stopped for a fake ticket getting abusive and violent (because an unfortunate bloke with a real ticket who wasn't doing anything got a face full of pepper spray). I suspect there were a significant number who knew they had fake tickets and thought if they made enough of a fuss they could blag their way in. I'd imagine if you're a steward and you've half a dozen or so people like that shouting at you and getting in your face, you'll just close it and get the police to handle it.

Klopp telling fans to travel without tickets, the sense of entitlement Liverpool fans get. The Paris police may have been terrible but it doesn't change that they've only had problems of this scale with Liverpool. I think it was the Spurs Liverpool final where you had Liverpool fans boasting about getting into the ground without a ticket, no wonder so many tried it this time.

2012 we beat Bayern at their home ground wasn't thousands of ticketless Bayern Munich fans turning up despite the game being played on their doorstep. 60,000 fans 20,000 tickets doesn't go does it no mention either about Liverpool fans being in competition with each other robbing service stations on their way down for the cup final and putting photos on Twitter of what they nicked.

All the initial focus was on the problems before the game, fake tickets, climbing fences etc, and whilst many blamed Liverpool fans (myself included to a degree), what has come out about after the game all around the stadium is frankly horrific. Literally thousands of locals in premeditated industrial scale robbery. If you see this article and look at the Twitter post embedded in it, you’d be shocked (but maybe not surprised) by what clearly went on.

How they can hold an Olympics in a ghetto is beyond me. France clearly has some very serious social problems.

Champions League final: Paris police chief Didier Lallement apologises for tear-gassing Liverpool fans

Paris police chief Didier Lallement admits there is no scientific evidence for claim 40,000 supporters arrived at Champions League final without tickets or with fake tickets

What the f**k are you on about!? You on a high? Get a f**king grip man, nothing to do with brexit nor with fishing rights. The dippers did what they do best, behave like the f**king pest that they are. Nothing more nothing less.

On 29/05/2022 at 17:30, RMH said:

Any source for that? Cause you just sound like a scouse, and by the sound of your posts your probably one of them and all.

On 29/05/2022 at 17:28, RMH said:

Yeah, never their fault, it’s always the rest of them. And what the f**k has got fishing or brexit to do with the scum avalanching to enter the stadium. Grow up and stand to the problem.

Thing is that there was no problem at the Real Madrid end, as there was no problem last season with the City and Chelsea supporters, or there’s been no problem with the hundreds of thousands of Rangers supporters and Eintrach supporters in Seville. The scousers are the problem, yes, the French police are known for their behaviour, but there’s only been problems when Liverpool plays, no one else causes any problem.

Ill await your apology, Cheers!

Lallement said: "It is obviously a failure. It was a failure because people were pushed around and attacked. It was a failure because the image of the country was undermined."

He provided no evidence for his widely discredited claim that up to 40,000 supporters without tickets or with fake tickets attempted to enter the stadium.

"The figure has no scientific virtue but it came from feedback from police and public transport officials," Lallement added. "Maybe I was wrong, but it was constructed from all the information harvested.

"Whether there are 30,000 or 40,000 people, it doesn't change anything. What matters is that there were people, in large numbers, likely to disrupt the proper organization of the filtering. But that we count them precisely to within 5000, it doesn't change much."

I don't see any apology there, only Sky saying that those words are an apology to their beloved team. Plus, I am not apologising to you for all the things that you said defending the Liverpool hooligans. You can take a sit and wait for my apology. The Liverpool supporters behaved like the scum that they are, and the police did what they usually do. Maybe their Club should try to control their fans better and not let them stone City's bus, kill Juve supporters or get into a riot entering the Paris stadium.

Clutching at straws, If defending Liverpool fans by stating that you're wrong and what happened was actually mad as a poster above has mentioned then you need to take a time out and actually do some research on what happened, IF the police chief going against the people above him isn't enough, Nothing ever will be.

You're full of sh1t lol

RMH crying about dipper hooligans whilst being an offensive hooligan full of hatred is rather ironic to me tbh

Stop crying about your dear bin dippers, I'm just not concerned with what happens to that lot. Get over it, you lost the final against Real Madrid, chin up and stop banging on about the riots that the supporters generated.

Updates from Dan Austin on today's hearing:

@_Dan_Austin
Chief of police Didier Lallement says he gave the 40 000 ticketless fans trying to enter the Stade de France figure to Gérald Darmanin. He says he saw it in the ground.
Didier Lallement is a liar.

@_Dan_Austin
Chief of police Didier Lallement says police had to choose between using tear gas or charging into the crowd at gates A, Y and Z at the Stade de France.
The crowd was waiting patiently. There was absolutely no need whatsoever for either.

@_Dan_Austin
Didier Lallement has admitted the 40,000 ticketless fans figure has "no scientific value." he reveals it was guesswork based on hearsay.
The figure is a lie and it has now essentially been admitted.

@_Dan_Austin
Quite clear from his testimony so far that chief of police Didier Lallement has been sent to the senate for two reasons:

1) To continue blaming Liverpool fans with lies.

2) To try and take some of the heat off minister of the interior Gérald Darmanin.

@_Dan_Austin
Didier Lallement says "a large number of fans" caused the chaos by disrupting the pre-filter tickets checks, before adding that it isn't important how many it was and an exact figure doesn't matter.

The incompetence of the man and the French authorities as a whole is staggering.

@_Dan_Austin
Didier Lallement reveals that the purpose of the police complaints form is to try to find people who were selling forged tickets and put an accurate number on fakes.

Would advise people tuo continue to use it to report police violence instead.

@_Dan_Austin
Once again, just like Gérald Darmanin, chief of police Didier Lallement has provided absolutely zero photo or video evidence from around the Stade France which backs up his version of events.

Because no such evidence exists.

@_Dan_Austin

Didier Lallement says the use of tear gas on fans, including women and children, was "necessary" and he ordered it.

He adds that he doesn't know of anything else which would have helped the situation. Which shows he is a dangerous man who shouldn't be doing his job.

I believe the truth lies in the middle ground between what the French authorities are saying and what Liverpool supporters/the press (who for some reason love to suck the metaphorical cock of the scousers) are saying.

Neither seems to be providing evidence to back up their claims and instead are just giving their opinions as fact.

Also - I don’t really give a sh*t and have no idea why I’ve decided to comment at all.
