August 4, 20223 yr In a giant leap for mankind I've managed to connect my laptop to my tv, in order to watch our matches on a bigger screen. The tv rights for EPL matches have been bought by an online platform using an app and not a tv channel, and of course that company only offers the app on a selected tv brands. And even more of course it's not the brand I have. FFS! On the upside a subscription is one euro cheaper compared to the channel that used to own the rights. One euro! Yessiree! Now for all the prediction leagues to start and I'm ready for Saturday. Bring it on!

They bought all the rights from our local channels, including rights to our national team games those bastards! But damnit they found a way to my wallet, so well played I suppose. Have you tried downloading their app to your phone and casting straight to the TV tho? Less hassle than fooling around with a laptop I imagine. I do it via Chromecast, but it should be natively possible for smart TVs also.

I couldn't make a wireless connection work, not being very tech savvy I pay €13,99 a month, and I always stop my subscription after the season and start it again 3 months later. I have yet to figure out where I can watch the Champions League matches. Very annoying all these different outlets 😒

Pretty sure I watched CL games on it last autumn when they had free promo. A quick google also says that they show CL.

August 4, 20223 yr One thing going for us this time, Everton have never faced Sterling and Koolibally playing for Chelsea.
August 4, 20223 yr It really is a coin toss who will start the game. I think James and Mendy are pretty sure starters.

I am almost 100% sure that in addition to Mendy and James, Sterling, Silva, Koulibaly and Mount will also start. Maybe this? Mendy Chalobah - Silva - Koulibaly James - Kante - Kovacic - Chilwell Mount - Havertz - Sterling

Last win was in 2016/2017 when we won the title with Conte, and since then we've drawn one and lost four consecutive times. Interestingly, the record doesn't extend to Stamford Bridge. Everton hasn't beaten us there since 1994. 1992/1993 = Everton 0-1 Chelsea 1993/1994 = Everton 4-2 Chelsea 1994/1995 = Everton 3-3 Chelsea 1995/1996 = Everton 1-1 Chelsea 1996/1997 = Everton 1-2 Chelsea 1997/1998 = Everton 3-1 Chelsea 1998/1999 = Everton 0-0 Chelsea 1999/2000 = Everton 1-1 Chelsea 2000/2001 = Everton 2-1 Chelsea 2001/2002 = Everton 0-0 Chelsea 2002/2003 = Everton 1-3 Chelsea 2003/2004 = Everton 0-1 Chelsea 2004/2005 = Everton 0-1 Chelsea 2005/2006 = Everton 1-1 Chelsea 2006/2007 = Everton 2-3 Chelsea 2007/2008 = Everton 0-1 Chelsea 2008/2009 = Everton 0-0 Chelsea 2009/2010 = Everton 2-1 Chelsea 2010/2011 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea 2011/2012 = Everton 2-0 Chelsea 2012/2013 = Everton 1-2 Chelsea 2013/2014 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea 2014/2015 = Everton 3-6 Chelsea 2015/2016 = Everton 3-1 Chelsea 2016/2017 = Everton 0-3 Chelsea 2017/2018 = Everton 0-0 Chelsea 2018/2019 = Everton 2-0 Chelsea 2019/2020 = Everton 3-1 Chelsea 2020/2021 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea 2021/2022 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea Have always dreaded Everton away games. Same goes for the North East with poor records over the years at Newcastle, Sunderland and Boro. Few classic wins in there though. The 3-2 with great goals by Lamps & Drogba, the 6-3 which was a crazy game and the 3-0 under Conte - great goal by Pedro and practically sealed us the league. As for Saturday, I know the old cliche about it's not the performance but the 3 points that matter first game but sod that. 3 points are a MUST, but I want a decent performance and hope we absolutely batter them. Their squad looks very thin and with Richarlison gone and no DCL, now is the ideal time to play them. No room for sentiment either. I honestly can't see Lamps lasting the season there so won't feel bad if we put 4 or 5 past them and start the ball rolling for his exit. Let's just hope Pickford doesn't have another blinder. August 4, 20223 yr I was there in 2014 when we did them 3-6, had tickets in with the mousers so couldn't celebrate every time we scored, one goal I nearly did but had to check myself as all around were unhappy Mousers, bought one of them 2 bob 2 team scarves outside so I had something to wear with Chelsea written on it!
August 5, 20223 yr Don't see anything but a narrow Chelsea win unless Pickford is on form in which case they might steal a point. Always difficult in the first few games at the start of the year. This year even more so with players still not up to anywhere near full fitness due to the short pre-season. With 5 subs we have the stronger bench providing TT uses them correctly...knowing him he'll probably use one or two 🙄 Sterling to score..
August 5, 20223 yr based on the generally well informed Señor Romano maybe Cucu will play LWB. I think Alonso won't play as in his head he is in Barca. Maybe Chiller will start or Palmeri but I won't be surprised if Cucu doesn't get at least 30 minutes.
August 5, 20223 yr Ah.. finally this feeling is coming back, premier league 😍! Also it's nice to meet Super Frank in the opening game. With our pre-season the formation will be with 5-2-3 (3-4-3 ATT). -------------- Mendy -------------- -- Azpilicueta - Thiago Silva - Koulibaly -- James --- Kante --- Kovacic ----- Chilwell -------- Mount ------ Sterling ------- ---------------- Havertz ----------- Important to start the season with a victory. Honestly, I don't believe we will shine with good football tomorrow, but I'd take the win to gain more confidence and talk hard in the league. COME ON CHELS!!!!!!
August 5, 20223 yr I don't think Chilwell is ready yet but Alonso very likely goes to Barca so that leaves us with Cucurella who just arrived so most likely Emerson before Kenedy?
August 5, 20223 yr It's nice to see a league table that isn't distorted by teams playing by a differents set of rules than others again, it's been a while. This year when teams are getting a winter holiday we'll actually be among them! I'm optimistic for this game and the season. Fancy Sterling to get a couple and get off to a good start, and Koulibaly to wreck whatever poor bastard's up top for them. Sorry Frank. Let's go!

Anyway leaving from Kent at 10 in the morning 2 car loads. 2-0 the Chels, not like last season when we didn't turn up well the fans did the team didn't 😉
