Watched the game. Casadei was brilliant.

Obviously a long way to go by stylistically he reminds me of a young Ballack.

Andrey Santos was poor though, he's also had a really poor season at Vasco as far as I know so that's a bit concerning.

Given Pochettino reputation for developing young talent I woild hope he gets time with each of our youngster and decides which ones are going to get minutes for him and which ones need loans.

He is on record as saying young players need to play, so if they won't get that here we need good loans for them.

I hope that Pochettino takes a look at the youngsters we have on the books like Casadei and Santos because they could very well be top class and complement Enzo. We'd also be saving some money.

Another headed goal and headed assist against Columbia in the u20 quarter final. We need his aerial skills particularly if havertz goes.

He's probably the more ready of the two (Casadei + Santos).

We want to develop our own talents right? The very best should join Hall in getting regular minutes next season. If that is Casadei then he should be in.

No point in bring in a youth developing manager and not giving our best youth a shot.

Seems like he dud alright at Reading as well.

So him, Santos, Hall and Carney yet we are "desperately" searching for a midfielder or two and looking to spend 80mill on Moises? How about we develop these players ourselves.

I think its more that none of those are the «sitting» midfielder but yeah - after what he’s shown I think we have to integrate him into the squad. I hope Pochettino goes for a midfield with 2 box to box midfielders in it - we seem to have a plethora of those at the moment

I'd like to see the names mentioned above given a chance next season but my god we're crying out for some experience in the middle of the park. With Kante and Kovacic on the way out do we have a single CM/CDM who is older than 23 or has played a full year in the Prem?

Brighton’s midfield was fairly young this last season. Carney has played premier league two season in a row although only limited minutes. Gallagher has experience. We could use a Caicedo but Enzo Gallagher carney not a bad 3 with casedi to get more  and more minutes. From what I’ve seen of Carney he will make the team better. Early days though.

Enzo + Carney + 1 would be what I'd play.  I'd be having a good look at Casadei and Santos in pre-season to see if they are ready to be the +1.

Gallagher is simply not good enough in my book ... can't fault his attitude though.

I think Casadei or Santos could be a real surprise next season. Caicedo vibes with little experience and just slotting in seamlessly into the Premier league. With the lack of older heads about Chelsea must be really exciting for the younger players to prove themselves now.
