Loan rules don't apply to under 21s or home grown players, it doesn't really impact us massively

Interesting to say the least. Italian players especially young ones rarely go overseas at 19.

I hope these young players good otherwise we’re going to be stuck with them for years. Every young player gets hyped so I hope the scouting team have done their homework

I would only use 'class of...' to describe Cobham graduates but I agree about the strategy. I have not seen anything special about this lad I must say but hopefully that's just because I haven't seen enough.

It's relatively low risk. 20m over 6 years, not a huge outlay. Likely is we can still sell for 30m in 3 years time if they dont break into first team. If they fail, not a huge amount lost. 3m per year on transfer amortisation.

No-one is paying £30m for a guy who can't get into our first team  ... probably be lucky to get £5m ...

West Ham were happy to pay 30m for Broja. Everton paid 40m for Dele Ali. Newcastle paid 27m for Chris Wood.  Mid expectation he turns out to be that level.

In this scenario I'm expecting Casadei to get games. Just not be at the level we require. Like Emerson, but younger and a midfielder. 

Also Gibbs white just been sold for 45m and never played a PL game! 

I think gilmour is actually worth 30m to the right team. 

I thought that we wanted our scouts to look for potential future world class players, and when the club goes and starts doing that, some fans still complain!

I think we're all intrigued, and hoping he turns out to be a great goal-scoring midfielder like Lampard was. Certainly looks like he has the tools and physical attributes already.

Looking forward to seeing confirmation of his signing, hopefully tomorrow.
