Reducing Conor's goal to "it was because of Pulisic" is just outright favouritism. Lol I never said Conor wasn’t the star of the match but I’ll also not reduce that the run at the defense had nothing to die with drawing defenders to open up just enough imbalance. To your point, those players could’ve made that same pass yet they didn’t nor have they really at any point most of this season
October 1, 20223 yr Wow Gallagher, what a way to make a statement in a game where our midfielders struggled for most of it.

Concentrate on making top 4 and make a run at the CL next year. Mmmmm, get knocked out of the CL in order to get in it again next year. Have we had a reversal of roles with Arsenal?

Even if we drop into europa it’s still a trophy and another entry into the CL this year. The squad is big enough to deal with the extra matches.

October 1, 20223 yr Connor Gallagher post match : '' I would like to thank Palace fans for the welcome and I hope they enjoy my last minute gift to them''.
October 1, 20223 yr what was Thiago doing all the way upfront f**king late winner, can't remember we had one, what a buzz!
October 1, 20223 yr Six of our eight assists in the league have come from defenders. One of those was today courtesy of Silva who shouldn’t have even been on the pitch when he got it. This team is lacking in attack badly.

He wasn't particularly good either but he had some decent contributions. Held on to the ball well, kept it moving nicely, and could have had an assist as well, which he did much more for than Pulisic did for his, when he played a nice little reverse pass to Havertz inside the box, who's shot got blocked. All in all a pretty average performance from Mount, but far from poor imo.
October 1, 20223 yr He also had a nice through ball to sterling, whose bad first touch ruined an almost certain goal .but his bad shot with the free kick six yards out from goal and the palace player making a fool of him in that move in the first half that almost made mase fall down also make his overall performance suspect Edited October 1, 20223 yr by Phillip
October 1, 20223 yr To be fair, palace have a valid reason to be upset about the refereeing in today’s game. We were lucky , but given all the bad calls against us lately, we were due some makeup calls.

Fofana’s 2 consecutive mistakes lead to a goal. thankfully he grove into the game, we had 80% possesion in the 1st oposite to plus 50 in the 2nd. you saw our 1st goal out of nothing couse we were as slow and uninspired as what, last 6 month?! at 1:0 Thiago should have been sent off for deliberate handball and goal oportunity. we got away big time, VAR check also. in the 2nd we’ve continued our training pace football until Conor late +70min sub. we got f**king lucky

Potter at Brighton was a lot quicker with his subs and it usually made some sort of impact. Now he seems reluctant. News flash, Kai and Mason aren’t getting better as the game goes on This was Potter's first league game. Give him a chance.

October 1, 20223 yr Connor got us out of jail pure and simple. Pully showed up for once bc I for one cringed when he was subbed on, like maybe TB just called the bench cringe. The 3 points are wonderful the way the game played out but lbh this win is just papering over the cracks. Playing Jorgi & an out of form Kova as your midfield enforcers is a road to nowhere, this team only ever looks good in a year or so with a fit & firing Kante. Most of the big time wins he has featured. Potter May or may not be a yes man but he’s got a big job on his hands, can he do it under these circumstances 2 games a week for 6 weeks leading into a WC, I hope so but am not convinced. The 250 mill of signings we made were mostly 2nd choices or perhaps even last min desperate moves but I was ok with most bc I thought TT had participated and would then try and get the best out of them and meld them into his system. Now we have 2 2 bob goalies 2 2 bob midfielders hopefully not 2 2 bob center halves (jury still out on killbilly and Fofana). But Potter got a win so fairplay, Aubas goal was good and Connors top fookin notch ! Bring on the 🍝 munchers then
October 1, 20223 yr 2 hours ago, Zeta said: Assume it was a tactic to play with no midfield today. That can be the only reason why there was 0 cover, and why they strolled straight through the middle over and over again. We are so easy to counter against, our wingbacks and whole midfield press forward, then it's just acres of space behind us for through balls. Potter must be praying Kante comes back with new hamstrings. Jorginho, Kovacic and RLC give you as much presence as Putin at the World Peace awards
