November 6, 20223 yr Looking forward to the likes of Carny, Zakaria, Pulisic etc to have a great game only for Mount, Sterling, and Havertz to be rewarded for that against Newcastle.
November 6, 20223 yr Meh whoever Potter wants to pick. I don't have the enthusiasm for these players anymore to care enough to put forward a side I would like to see.

Likewise. No attachment to this group of players whatsoever. Didn't even get mad when Arsenal scored. Just shrugged it off.
November 6, 20223 yr If I was the captain of the ship I am retiring Sterling and Mount as attackers for the time being and giving others a run of games. Those two have now had months to find their form and do something and have done fook all with it. It is not working on any level. Don't tell me they just need another week. Neither has the quality at this point. Work Mount into the mid rotation where he belongs and put Sterling on the bench. Sterling btw plays like he's 34 and Auba plays like he's 44. That another problem. We just look old compared to others. At least Pulisic shows some ambition when he gets a shot.
November 6, 20223 yr I want to care and I probably will come match day but I just can't trust Potter anymore

November 6, 20223 yr Play Pullisic, Ziyech, Zakaria and the kids and get over the game, hopefully not another injury, result is almost irrelevant in my honest opinion. Given the pattern we had lately, think we will beat City's B team, and get a beat up against Newcastle.

Thiago Silva is giving 100% every time he steps on the pitch despite his age and is doing his best to hold this poor lot together in defence. He also seems to be the only one that is capable of playing decent long balls to start attacks. Kepa deserves credit for working hard and not complaining even once about being benched. Chillwell is a quality player, although too injury prone to be relied upon. Reece James could turn out to be the best RB in the world if he stops getting injured as well. Kante has been world-class but same problem as James and Chillwell regarding the injuries and is likely past his best now. Kovacic is decent. Gallagher is looking good as well and deserves more game time. It wouldn't be fair to hate on the entire squad. The problem is mostly injuries, bad team selections, weird tactics and most of all a lack of desire by too many regular starters. Mount especially is disappointing me. Does anyone remember how hard he was working during his first season under Lamps and Tuchel? He was all over the place pressing. Now he seems to coast through games. Havertz has also had much better work ethic in his first season. He was often critisized (and rightly so) but at least he was working his ass off and showing passion. Not much of that is left.
November 7, 20223 yr Anyone else annoyingly expecting a "full strength" squad because these same underperformers need to 'bounce back' so they can just go on and lose against Newcastle at the weekend?

Aye I could see that. I could also see City B/youth team beating us as well.

I can't be the only one noticing a factor we're seeing is players look tired because of lack of rotation. There is no full strength squad at this point as guys have no legs.

It's just Mount, Havertz, Ruben, and Sterling continue to get minutes undeservingly.
