We've given these directors enough benefit of the doubt already. 4 years of it.Serious teams try and do their business early and then integrate them into the team during pre-season.Not buy any old player on September 1st, then watch the team get disrupted because of the international break.Haggling all summer to either walk away at the end or end up saving maybe a few million at best for a transfer that could have been wrapped up weeks earlier is more the Blue Co style. There is so much basic football stuff our board get wrong it’s staggering that some people go out of their way to stick up for them.
Yesterday at 18:361 day If this isn’t to make way for Adam Wharton then we should riot.We can’t have a window where Tottenham f**king Hotspurs sign 2 PL proven mids and we sell anything even slightly talented to direct rivals for CL football.

Everything they've done so far suggests the opposite.I doubt people are upset about selling Santos because they rate him so highly. If we were getting a top class midfielder to take his place most wouldn't give a solitary f**k about him leaving. In fact that's how you're supposed to act as a top club, constantly looking to uprgade your first eleven and your squad. The problem is, we know how our current hierarchy operates and there's next to zero chance of us signing a top level replacement.7 minutes ago, abramovich said:And what in our club management's recent track record convinced you this is what's going to happen? And he is definitely not the only player we've sold that had this over the top reaction. If we don't sign Wharton or Scott, then I will be pissed off. Until then I'll hold fire. They've made good decisions on who should leave.
Yesterday at 18:441 day I would prefer to keep but I cheered him on in hope he became a top player. I didn’t see anything that jumped out to make him a unique talent. The replacement is the key to whether this is a good transfer or not.I do think Utd have started to go down the BlueCo route with Ineos. They don’t seem to want to even compete with Spurs regarding prices and wages. Ederson can’t even displace Casemiro in the Brazil team. Not quite Madueke levels but I don’t see this as a massive upgrade to the enemy. Mount and Mata where tremendous for us, joining Man U didn’t really work out for them.

You've just decided that's the case from I assume Reddit comments."He has a high ceiling" is just admitting he's not performed yet but you hope he will. We've been given 50m for a player that might improve but has been average for us. But if you're able to make that call without ever seeing him in training, why does Alonso need to see him in training?I expect they need this money and sign someone who will improve us. Not someone who we hope will.I think that this a valid reasoned argument. But similarly it has to also be acknowledged surely that when we signed Santos he was the first poster boy of the BlueCo model of acquiring some of the most sought after, prodigious Young talents in world football for us to develop and work into a powehouse team of young superstars or to sell eventually and make big money on.Most of our concerns, however, though have been that where does this market exist that BlueCo are going to make so much money from. There are maybe three clubs in Europe that physically pay for players and the rest will be direct competition in our own league. So the conundrum for me is if these players are so talented that their values will double and triple, we'll we're Just going to weaken ourselves and improve our rivals. No problem if we're top of the pile of course. Yeah right. The alternative of course is that these aren't actually burgeoning talents but fairly average kids that we are just trying to flip which then supports the argument that this model they have been briefing us about is actually bo**ocks after all.

Not seen him deliver anything in a single game for Chelsea that is a game changer.I will hold all judgement on this decision until we see who we sign. If losing Santos means we sign someone ready made to partner Caicedo, I will be happy. But his job isn't to be a game changer and that's a subjective comment for a central or defensive midfielder. Any one of the numerous tackles and regains that he made could have been every bit as important as an assist or a last minute clearance. The reality is that the cold hard facts, away from the club pr bullsh*t, is that this club has to raise funds. Everybody is up for sale and unfortunately the vast number of nobodies these idiots purchased are worthless. Result is Santos has to be sold, end of.

He's one of 30 that we bought and have completely snookered ourselves financially and competitively so that we have no option but to sell the few that have a positive value to cover the amortisation costs of the duds that we are lumbered with and can't move. This model is so slick that because we are not capable of shifting duds like Delap or Jackson we have trued to think of a way of backing out of the Emegha transfer cos he couldn't even get a regular game at Strasbourg

Now that doesn’t necessarily mean old just a first teamer. I liked Santos but do we really have the time to wait to see if he’s a top midfielder? I’d say no, we need some real impact players or it’s going to be a long season. We’ll have to wait and see, it’s the hope the kills you.

Given time he may well develop into a top talent but there again he might not. Only time will tell. When Salah left us I can’t remember anyone saying it was a mistake . Likewise when Mason left us most were moaning about the transfer being a mistake. If you are looking at this point in time then you are right it’s exactly the sort of transfer that justifies the model. .
