At some point I would like to see how he would do in Jose's first Chelsea set up. Enzo as Maka, Caicedo or Lavia as Essien and Palmer as Lamps. Enzo has the brain and the ability to make passes to play that Maka role but physically he cannot do this number 8 game he is asked to do, even slow midfielders breeze past him. Won't see it as Maresca would have to rip up the whole game plan just to accommodate Enzo. And that's if it even works.

Bakayoko esq.

No where until he can actually play football. I'd play Caicedo and Lavia, or potentially even Carney in that #8 role. Needs to sit out for a good while. The performance yesterday was an abomination.

That's the question that's puzzled us all from when he joined till now...lol I don't know if Enzo junior even knows what he himself is good at. Passing the ball can't be his only skill! He's so slow in everything he does, and when he does have time, like with those two corners, he does nothing with it. If he was English with a name like Dewsbury-Hall, he would never get in this side. I'd forgotten about the corners... dreadful - definitely not what you'd expect from a World Cup winning midfielder - but he can't bloody shoot either.
October 7, 20241 yr Supposedly Maresca told Eghbali and the DoFs when he was interviewed for the job that he had a number of different formations that he could build around Fernandez to get the best out of him. I look forward to seeing one of them !

Would not surprise me if he is sacked if he fails to turn Enzo in to a key play who is actually productive. 4th place or no.

October 7, 20241 yr He’s nowhere near as bad as some are making out but he will continue to struggle at Chelsea due to our set up and the individual jobs each player must do. Just doesn’t suit him and I don’t see this changing.
October 7, 20241 yr Just looking at his PL ratings on Whoscored, which support the eye test that he is getting worse. 22/23 Ave Rating 6.80 23/24 Ave Rating 6.75 24/25 Ave Rating 6.61 Even his best for us is pretty average stuff ... and doubly so considering the fee and the wages.

There was one I recall, he was close to the touch line and his first touch went as far back and passed cucurella (I think it was) who had just passed it to him! I think a forest player took it from there and continued the run. He basically helped that forest player to get past cucu and go for a run at goal. 🤦♂️
October 8, 20241 yr We got rid of Kovacic for this guy... its a pity that happened becuase Kovacic is the better player on the past two seasons form. Im done hoping the likes of Felix or this guy somehow change the direction on their careers, time for the players to deliver or send them on their merry way down the leagues.

October 8, 20241 yr His two corners that barely got off the ground were laughable, I play 6th division (beers and pies at half time) in Australia and we’d be subbed for sh*te like that….. Edited October 8, 20241 yr by nicholas2230
October 20, 20241 yr I can’t believe he’s the captain. He’s fking sh*te, need to be sold in next window. Waste of space.

Caicedo had the armband over him in the second half. I see no reasons that should change. And also, if Enzo is subbed on to take on attacking positions like tonight then we are better off leaving him on the bench and bring on Felix or Nkunku instead. Don't see how he gets back in the side if Lavia and especially Caicedo continues like they did today.
October 20, 20241 yr He got shoulder checked off the ball by one of their CMs like it was an adult against a child.
