Maybe he wants him to focus on his recovery more than everything right now. I also don't see a problem in having a party.. but I also can understand Pochettino here.
October 12, 20232 yr I'm surprised he doesn't get more playing time at Chelsea. Hopefully injuries are behind him and if the maturity/attitude comments are true, he improves there, as he makes football look easy at U21. PL is a different level, but he is exciting. Maybe league cup is his next appearance.

October 13, 20232 yr Just watched the game highlights, good game all round and Madueke looked very good.

October 16, 20232 yr Was at the City ground to watch this last week, Noni looked head and shoulders above the opposition and the majority of his team mates. Certainly a talented player for the future. Whereas Cole Palmer likes to come inside and operate in tight spaces, Noni seems to offer the complete opposite with hugging the touchline when he doesn't have the ball. Can then cut in very reminiscent of Robben. Credit to Boehly and co. they've actually built a very well balanced squad which in a year or two SHOULD be absolutely terrifying.
October 16, 20232 yr Lining up against Ukraine U21 shortly. Bashir H at CB. Supposed to be a live stream from England Football here: https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2023/Oct/16/england-mens-under-21s-ukraine-match-report-20231610

Crikey, check out Ukraine's second goal. Trafford asleep. Bizarre.

October 21, 20232 yr Horrendous cameo. Not sure he did a single thing correctly. Will surely be difficult for him to get minutes going forward.
October 21, 20232 yr He had all of 10 mins and plays better on the right. Give him a chance - he’s lethal for U21s, and it’s great we finally have some options.

His game is too individualistic , lost the ball so many times and offered nothing going foward. Individual skill can help in youth competitions just like Hudson Odoi but you need more to your game in senior football especially when teams defend as a unit.
October 22, 20232 yr Well his performances last season, when he was given time on the pitch under SFL, and also his displays for the England U21 side makes me believe we have another really talented young player on our hands.

He's been on scraps all season, can't be too harsh and he's only a kid. Definitely a talented player who unfortunately couldn't impact a tough game. Unfortunately for him, we've got so many attackers in good form at the minute, usually I would like Noni to play over Sterling but Sterling has been excellent this season so far. I'm sure he'll get his chance eventually.

Individualistic is the perfect word for Noni. I was at the game yesterday and he looks far more like a Britain's got talent freestyler invited to play football than an actual professional player and has done since he signed for us. He's got very quick feet and he's flashy when 1 on 1 with a fullback but he doesn't link up with anyone, doesn't have good movement or any awareness and doesn't strike or pass the ball well or at the right times. people who watch on a screen don't see all the times he's 5 yards away where he should be or he's not making the right runs. No surprise Poch doesn't fancy him so far he's miles away from Palmer and Sterling.

Misplaced 4 passes in 10 minutes. Palmer misplaced 1 all game. Was a very very poor cameo, there's something not working for him but I'm taking some heart that Poch actually brought him on...so hopefully he's improved in training

October 23, 20232 yr Could it be he's just a good U21 player, but not enough to be a regular EPL player at this stage? With others improving ( great to see), can't see him getting games at all unless another injury blitz🤫
