Apparently we're open to loan offers for Madueke. 

Just highlights what a nonsensical signing this was - he ain't ready for this level of football. He wasn't setting the Eredivisie alight - we bid £20m initially, then £25m, £30m, £40m - amateur and ridiculous. 

Now we have a player who isn't good enough, on a long contract, who isn't worth what we paid. Exactly what we feared might happen. 

Boehly, Lawrence, Winstanley are f**king idiots. 

WTF, he cost 40M? I thought it was a 20M something 'bargain' buy, if it's anything over 30M we are totally screwed. Will the Saudis please bail us out of this? I'm pretty sure he could be an under study for CR7

I think it was officially £28m going up to over £30m in bonuses. Either way, it was daylight robbery.

He hasn’t shown enough or made enough of an impact unfortunately.  We’ll start to see sone of these youngsters who aren’t performing shipped off.

sh*t and injury prone. Everything we worried about in the first few pages of the thread. Move him on.

Looks like we are going to try and move him on. One of many expensive mistakes by Clearlake. I can't imagine we will have too many takers currently. Maybe he will go on loan.

Palmer didn’t start and only came on as subs but made enough of an impact to force his way into the team. Madueke has shown very little. 

I'd still like to give him a go seems to perform in the internationals albeit U21 . Surely this is what Poch is paid to do ,improve players.

He's paid to do a lot of things but he just seems to sit on the sidelines looking like a halfwit.

Poch already thought he was sh*te at Spurs and was happy for him to leave.  Incredibly quick feet but in terms on IQ, work ethic off the ball, link up play, actually striking or passing a ball he's a long long way from being an option for a PL team. 

If we can get £15m for him in January we'd be foolish not to move him on.

With all due respect, don't think someone with Madueke's quality deserves a headline. Surely Poch doesn't hate him that much, just send him on loan getting some football, even it's at a Championship club

Give him a chance. He’s not really had a run of games yet.

Dont understand why everyone and their mother have been sh*tting on him when he does more than several of the other players who get praised for doing the bare minimum. Actually has potential, feel like if we sell him he will turn into another Salah/De Bruyne.

Certainly deserving of more of a chance than he has had !

With Sterling and Palmer apparently now suspended, I hope he'll get a start against Palace, and that he is able to take the opportunity presented. Heaven knows we need SOMEONE to step up !

Doesn't matter if we do start him to be honest. He's got the same issues as the other young players in this squad. Look at Gusto the other day against Newcastle. Came on, looked like he could offer something, plays today and he looks like exactly what he is, a young and inexperienced fall back that is out of his depth against players with almost a decade more of experience.

Madueke is the same. Too raw, too inexperienced. Just another on a long list of these players at the club.

In the fleeting glimpses we’ve seen of him , I think he looks ok

To be honest, I think Gusto is perfectly capable of isolating himself without any outside help !

Yeah I don't expect any defensive cover from him.

Based on suspensions, and that neither Nkunku nor Mudryk seem an option for the right side, I would assume Madueke is nailed on to play Palace.

Otherwise I may not sure. Caicedo was ill, so he should be back. Lesley went off because he was injured or tired? Could Pochettino have the option of Lesley for 45 minutes and Lavia for 45 minutes to play Conor as the 10? Or is Lesley out and Lavia obviously won't be trusted to play 90 minutes, so Cobor has to be in the pivot.

Who does that leave to start with Noni? Jackson, Maatsen, Nkunku or Mudryk by my count, and probably not Nkunku for 90 minutes yet.
