So back end of last season it was Noni getting all the minutes and Mudryk feeding on scraps. At the time most agreed Noni was better than Mudryk.

Roles have now reversed and pitch forks are out for Noni.

That's just how it is, fickle mentality I'm afraid.

Both of them are good prospects and both of them can come good. I'm not worried, plenty of the season to go and I'm sure Noni will get his chance.

Nice euphemism for ridiculous knee-jerk reactions.

He'll be fine, probably a few more shorter cameos given our current run of games but once the fixtures ease up a bit hopefully he gets a bit more time off the bench when it eases up.

I believe people got carried away with Noni last season because he was the only one who was really trying.

I've said it before even last season, Noni lacks some key fundamentals. He is a good dribbler and puts in a decent shift defensively but that's literally all he can do. I'm sure he can become a decent enough squad player but he wouldn't be missed much if replaced with any of our other young wingers.

That's pretty much what we praise Mudryk to the high heavens for doing at the minute though.

Perhaps we need to collectively agree that both are good prospects that need game time to develop and we shouldn't be so knee jerk after a 10 minute cameo against one of the best teams in the country.

Not at all. Mudryk can actually create chances and has good passing/vision. Noni hasn't shown anything like that for us yet., he just dribbles until he loses the ball or the moment has gone.

I don't really need to see any more from Noni, I've been saying this since we bought him. There's a good reason why he's not getting game time. Ideally we should have bought him a few years later when he's developed his end product, all we can do now is loan him out (When we aren't in an injury crisis) cause he's not good enough at the moment to get the consistent game time he needs.

In light of subsequent purchases i have also thought that he will be surplus to requirements as he just doesn't seem to have all of the tools yet nor the potential for some of them to develop. You take Gabriel for example. Young, playing abroad, weaker league, etc. Therefore comparable, but you can see just from clips of him in France that there is already a developing box of tricks and skill set that with growth and develop looks more potent.

Maybe Noni is more of a slow burner, but i admit i was a bit meh when we got him and i haven't really changed opinion much. I don't mind us perservering but when Hutchinson, Gabriel, etc come of age more, i hope that their paths aren't blocked if Noni hasn't kicked on.

However @just rates him and he's only ever been wrong about a player once.

Ah yes I remember him thinking Jorginho was going to be our Pirlo mixed with a little Rivaldo.

No it was Dutch striker whose mother was a seamstress and whose father was an aircraft marshall. His goals got Atletico Madrid relagated.

Still no idea why we signed this guy a real head scratcher of a signing.

Don't understand why we'd sell CHO and replace him with a much less talented equally as injury prone winger who didn't look good in the Dutch league for 6x the price.

Baffling transfer strategy.

I worry he screams a lifestlye player to me.  Loves the money, cars, houses, nightlife, girls, but doesn't have the quality when it matters Saturday.  Looks lethal for U21, but can't take the step up to Chelsea.  Didn't really have a good partnership with Disasi, but he has to offer a lot more than what we saw today.

It's a funny sport, but had that shot that hit the corner have gone in it could've completely changed things and people would be singing his praises.

There were some good things I saw, it would be great if everyone could hit the ground running like Cole Palmer has but that's not always the case. Still a raw player, I'm not giving up on him just yet.

You people are funny. How can you single out Noni when every other attacker apart from Palmer was just as poor? Maatsen did nothing after he came on. Sterling did nothing all game. Same for Jackson.

The reason why we struggled like that was because Disasi and Cucu offer nothing going forward.

I'm one of the few on here giving Noni the benefit of the doubt because he's a young player who's raw but saying Palmer was just as poor is not true.

Palmer created all the best chances in the game, the one to Sterling and the one to Cucu. He was without question our best attacker today probably our best player on the pitch.

That's why I said APART from Palmer. Please read again.

He's not been singled out though, Jackson and Sterling are also getting a lot of criticism.
