Potters excuses for us having to watch this type of toothless performance once again-

First part of his tenure - didn't have  a pre season, not his players bought in the summer

Towards end of last year - no other Chelsea coach has had to deal with so many injuries to key players

Now - he needs time to get all the new players integrated into the team

I’m dumbfounded. How you take off a pacey player and bring on a new one out of position is beyond me. 

If you can’t see the problem is Mount and Ziyech then we have no chance.

I have a feeling that if you swapped Emma Hayes and Potter, you'd fix a lot of what is wrong with the mens team. Might f**k the ladies team up a bit, but Reiten and Kerr might just save Potter's arse if he's lucky ...

Potter seems to have identified the issue in midfield and has tasked Cucurella with dropping centrally next to Enzo when we're in possession, and Madueke as presumably the leggiest, stamina-est player we have who can boss the entire left flank with the space Cucurella leaves by doing this. (If we had any other fit centre mids and Ben Chilwell I assume he would have done something different). I can see the logic behind it, God knows whether it will work though.

We'll presumably have to hook James for Azpilicueta at the hour mark.

We signed what 8 players in the window - and still have to watch corners hit first man and every  attack break down when Ziyech  or Mount get invoked
