February 3, 20233 yr Hopefully when we can get Felix into the team for Havertz, we might actually look like a football team.

The very reason why a DM + those 2 imo will never work given their positional sense in a team's build up is poor. I would go 4-4-2 with Chukwuemeka on for Gallagher and Fofana or Sterling for Mount. James Silv Bad Cucu Maduek Enzo Chuk Mudryk Fofana Havertz
February 3, 20233 yr So a few obvious things: - Gallagher can't play as a part of a two-man central midfield for a team expecting to dominate possession (at home). That's not his game and I assume Potter has only put him there due to a lack of alternatives. When Kanté and/or Zakaria and Kovačić are back the midfield problems will be eased. Even within 45 minutes it's obvious that Fernández is a class above his predecessor. He looks really, really good. - Speaking of a class above, Badiashile is fecking excellent. If he and Colwill can somehow co-exist in our squad, we'll be looking back at Rüdiger as the 'bad old days'. - As a result of our formation (and the issues in midfield), Mudryk is a bit deeper than he should be. He'll do more if he can set himself higher up the pitch, although I do appreciate that he seems quite happy (and able) to do his duties off the ball. - Luis Boa Morte eh? Veteran of the Chris Coleman 'man-marking Makélélé' masterclass that I'm sure we'll be reliving the next time Jorginho and Gallagher take to the pitch as opponents.

February 3, 20233 yr Disappointing half for me only two players can truly hold their head high , Thiago (as usual) and Enzo ! - looks like Thiago liked having a midfielder he can pass to and won’t lose the ball !

February 3, 20233 yr 88 million of Mudryk and he’s hauled because he can’t get into the game at home to Fulham. Jesus wept.
February 3, 20233 yr Taking into account all but Enzo have been at Graham’s disposal for two weeks training. Working on shape, passing and developing relationships. Looks though like the trip to the army camp was all we did.
February 3, 20233 yr Problem is Mount is constantly running in behind. And I mean almost all the time. No wonder he’s nowhere to link up play. Gallagher on the other hand does not have the pace or control to be effective in midfield resulting in not getting involved.

I would put him in ahead of Mount right now rather than Havertz. I don't think Felix solves our issues up front, but I think he could improve us in attacking midfield. Mount can't create anything these days, he always messes up the pass.

They f**k it up time and time again 20-25 yards out it all goes to sh*t. Mudryk just as well as take a smoke break because he's about seeing as much action as I am.
February 3, 20233 yr If that is a tactical change, I highly disagree with it. Mudryk wasn't very involved, but it was more because Fulham suffocated that side. If anything, those on the right were the ones I had the biggest problems with because they wasted everything.
February 3, 20233 yr Mudryk has to have a knock, otherwise how’s he been taken off instead of Ziyech or Mount?
February 3, 20233 yr Great. Sub the guy that’s had no service and has the most pace, bring on a right winner and play him on the left, and keep Ziyech on. those kind of decisions infuriate me
February 3, 20233 yr Madueke on the left? Surprised to see him on for Mudryk rather than the frankly pants Ziyech. Also we have fifty billion trillion pounds of forward asset on the pitch and not one of them is a patch on Willian.
