Maybe because our manager said it was nothing to complain about?

Why would anyone expect us to get an apology or act like the ref made the wrong decision?

Potter said it's all good so the matter is closed, Dull Graham probably called up PLGMOL and apologised on behalf of the squad for Enzo calling for a handball.

I see the PLGMOL have immediately apologised to Arsenal for the mistake in there game yesterday, that was played after ours....I'm sure we will be getting our apology any time now.....

I don't want their apology anyway. Howard Webb was on about transparency only the other week, talks the talk, but since he came in things have got worse not better.

You are just coming off as a annoying twat with this holier than though, i'm a better supporter than you crap.

Go support Potter FC. Clearly you care more about him than us facing a relegation battle. The rest of us will probably care more about Chelsea winning games and competing than hurting Potters feelings.

Easy tiger!  Insulting people from behind the safety of your keyboard isn't very becoming!  If you 'support' Chelsea football club then perhaps you should try supporting them!

Well you got your way..

Statement from PGMOL: “Howard Webb has contacted both Arsenal and Brighton to acknowledge and explain the significant errors in the VAR process. Both incidents, which were due to human error and related to the analysis of offside situations, are being thoroughly reviewed.”

He had his best XI in this game. The moment West Ham switched strategy/tactic, Potter couldn't find a way to win.

Seriously, who brings on Chilwell only to put Mount on the left wing and Ziyech (a player who was seconds away from leaving) on the right and put Gallagher to relegate Enzo to defending duties.

You don't need a full season to see this Potter bloke can't hack it. I said this from day one and am continued to be proven right.

Also wanted to add that this is the worst run of form we have had for at least a decade

You need a season, Guardiola needed a season, Klopp needed a season, Arteta needed a season, the greatest manager of all time Alex Ferguson needed a season!  Ferguson was one game away from the sack in 1990:-

https://www.planetfootball.com/nostalgia/how-alex-ferguson-saved-himself-from-the-brink-of-the-sack-at-man-utd/

I remember people United supporters screaming for his head at the time!  I wonder how they felt about him 27 years later?

It was another god-awful non-call, rivalling the one we didn't get called when Cucarella was yanked over by his hair!  Trouble is though managers can rant and rave after the game all they like it won't make a bit of difference to what happened.  In fact managers that go over the top usually find themselves sent to the stands for a game or two.  Maybe Potter realises the hopelessness of calling Swarbrick the t*** that he is.

The problem is that whenever he "turns and runs with the ball" he produces zero end product. He will run then missplace the pass or miss the shot. Best example was the situation in the first few minutes, in which Felix ( I think) played him through only for him to waste the opportunity by not deciding to shoot or pass to Havertz in time.

You could say exactly the same about Kovacic. Another player without a great end product. But IMO the fact that they have attacked and moved the ball closer to the opposition box is usually a plus. It draws defenders and opens up space.

I thought RLC played pretty good too.

James wasn't at his best but I suspect the guy is very ff'd off getting injured all the time... So maybe he's working himself back in a bit more gently this time.

I agree. Was no way criticising James who will improve with more game time

Using Klopp and Arteta as examples are useless. Klopp came to the PL from a different league so had to get use to the PL. Despite Artetas record there he still won the FA cup and another cup in his first season. Potter worked in the PL as a manager before coming to Chelsea and has absolutely no excuse for his poor record so far, except being an overhyped English manager

Also neither Arsenal nor Pool were top 4 teams when they arrived. Our squad is significantly better than the ones Klopp amd Arteta had at their disposal, yet Potter is still doing worse.

Liverpool were 1 point of winning the league the season before they dropped out if the top 4, they weren't a terrible squad.

They were nowhere near that the years before that and by the time Klopp arrived, they had sold their two best players from that season in Sterling and Suarez.

I have fond memories of Lazar Marković playing at right wing-back while Glen Johnson sat on the bench.

Apparently Marković (somehow still only 28) is playing alongside Djilobodji for a Turkish team I've never heard of.

I guess that is where the emotional intelligence come in, why get upset about things you can't change.

However it would be interesting to know how this chap is going to work with Potter -

Winning culture coach... someone should talk to Mount with winning culture

I'm one of Mount's biggest critics on this forum but that is bollocks.

Lad won it all at youth level and since he's been at the club we've won the Champions League, a Super Cup we haven't won in decades and we completed football with the Club World Cup. Not to mention we have appeared in multiple cup finals along the way.

Aside his enormous regression in form this past 1-1.5 years, he understands Chelsea more than anybody.

Brighton, meanwhile, revealed on Sunday morning that they had received an apology from the refereeing body - which they accepted.

so Howard f**king Webb is apologizing to everyone except Chelsea

Whether it was off target or not, it was a penalty, the only difference it would of made is if it was on target and going in the net, then it should be a penalty AND a red card, three points would of been ours with the penalty late in injury time, and Potter would of got a much needed win.

I'm not pissed off with the performance, just Potters submissive nature.

totally agree i was raging about var as was most , even non chelsea fans. but his politically correct calmness with vars total screw up is beyond belief considering this draw puts him one step closer to being gone. it makes me wonder how his half time team talks are when players are not performing for him. "hey guys, could you maybe step up a little bit, only if you feel like it though". theres a time to be cool and a time to be damn annoyed. FOOTBALL IS ABOUT EMOTION  so damn well show some.

Like Rasford who has been able to turn things around because of having a good coach, most of Mounts problems are coaching. We dont have a good coach who can work with the players and bring out the best in them. Most of the players are bang average now and cant score. Tuchel was able to turn a poor coached team with good players to CL champions in 6 mths. Thats what a good coach does.

Reminds me of Dads Army, Sgt Wilson never barked out the orders, it was always "would you mind falling in please"

That is assuming we score the pen. Dont know who would have taken the pen with Jorgi gone, or who is our main pen taker now. Could have been Mase and his record on pens is spotty at best.

James ? I would give it to Enzo or Felix.

Maybe. We don't know at this point. Could be Kai.

Oh and here is what Webb has told the Times:

"The PGMOL hasn't formally commented on why VAR also ignored Chelsea's calls for a late penalty at West Ham when Tomas Soucek handled the ball. But according to The Times, that decision is being described as 'subjective' whereas the acknowledged errors that hurt Arsenal and Brighton have been attributed to 'human error'."

So yeah they are fine with how the ref and VAR saw it, no error.
