Same old same old. Just finished watching the recording. Skipped through a lot of the second half.

Can only imagine Potter is playing Havertz in the hope he hits some form for the CL. As it was another game where he gets no goal, no assist, and adds cannot stay onside to get us a goal.

Madueke made their keeper make a good save, otherwise poor. Mudryk worked hard, otherwise poor. Felix the best of them, we actually scored a goal. Sadly the shadow of Reece James did not do his job properly in following Emersons run.

Toothless up front bit what else is new? Instead of bringing fofana on and going for it, you swap Gallagher in for RLC...laughable.

Second half was yet more torture through boardomball.

I made a comment once about James’ propensity to ball watch sometimes and I got blasted for it. Even though he’s just back from injury I still stand on  what I said. Not as world class as some make out imo Maybe because he grew up at Chelsea.

So it seems the Head of Implementation of VAR Neil Swarbrick was the official on VAR today, yes the Head of Implementation of VAR, you heard that right. The main man on VAR called that handball good, didn't see a problem with it.

Jaw dropping is all i can say.

Like our manager said the West Ham player made a really good save, clearly Mr. Swarbrick was just appricating it. Don't get your knickers in a twist Coco lol

20 minutes of extended highlights. Excellent.

RLC was one of our best players today. Good partnership with Enzo. Good link up with Felix. Defended well enough. Couple of great turns and runs with the ball. Thought he did well myself.

The problem is that whenever he "turns and runs with the ball" he produces zero end product. He will run then missplace the pass or miss the shot. Best example was the situation in the first few minutes, in which Felix ( I think) played him through only for him to waste the opportunity by not deciding to shoot or pass to Havertz in time.

It was a penalty but the shot itself  would not have scored in a hundred years. Our  attacking play round the box continues to suck. Unrealistic shots, impossible balls, misplaced cutbacks. It’s just lacking that execution precision that good teams have.

We are missing that one player, a Drogba, Dixon, Costa, Osgood leading the line.

I have said much the same previously and got a similar response.

Don't get me wrong I like James and think he is a massive part of the team. I am frustrated with RLC and think he is just not good enough. Yet today RLC gave every bit as much, if not more, than James, but still  gets different reactions from fans.

I can't believe some of what I'm reading on here! He has had TWENTY ONE games FFS!  Give him at least a bloody season!!! What is it with (some) Chelsea supporters (and I use the term supporters lightly here!).  He hasn't even ONCE had the ability to pick his best team let alone the time to create something!!

Klopps first 18 games:
W 7
D 5
L 6

Arteta's first 18 games:-
W 8
D 6
L 4

Potter's first 17 games:-
W 7
D 4
L 6

You can bet your life both Liverpool and Arsenal supporters are now bloody glad their boards weren't as 'trigger happy' as (some) Chelsea supporters (and I use that term lightly) are!

Whether it was off target or not, it was a penalty, the only difference it would of made is if it was on target and going in the net, then it should be a penalty AND a red card, three points would of been ours with the penalty late in injury time, and Potter would of got a much needed win.

I'm not pissed off with the performance, just Potters submissive nature.

I guess that is where the emotional intelligence come in, why get upset about things you can't change.

However it would be interesting to know how this chap is going to work with Potter -

He has different people in front of him now not Mount or Havertz yet Felix and Madueke so would expect him to take a bit longer to find his feet assuming he stays fit.

Having watched the West Ham goal again, it looks to me like Madueke and James were far too casual in their defensive duties. Both of them actually look behind them and see Emerson moving forwards, and then they just ignore him while jogging casually into our box, leaving Emerson a free run on goal. James probably more culpable than Madueke as he is the specialist defender who should know better.

They'll certainly need to build a much better understanding down that right defensive flank in future.

Chelsea players struggle to hit the aircraft hanger doors at times, however, when they leave CFC, they somehow become F-ing marksmen against us. Anyone want to count how many old boys have scored against us? I reckon its an unnatural amount compared to other clubs... Where's Opta Joe on this forum, there's always one.

Notice Emerson downplayed his celebration, a nice gesture for me.

You are just coming off as a annoying twat with this holier than though, i'm a better supporter than you crap.

Go support Potter FC. Clearly you care more about him than us facing a relegation battle. The rest of us will probably care more about Chelsea winning games and competing than hurting Potters feelings.

Using Klopp and Arteta as examples are useless. Klopp came to the PL from a different league so had to get use to the PL. Despite Artetas record there he still won the FA cup and another cup in his first season. Potter worked in the PL as a manager before coming to Chelsea and has absolutely no excuse for his poor record so far, except being an overhyped English manager

He had his best XI in this game. The moment West Ham switched strategy/tactic, Potter couldn't find a way to win.

Seriously, who brings on Chilwell only to put Mount on the left wing and Ziyech (a player who was seconds away from leaving) on the right and put Gallagher to relegate Enzo to defending duties.

You don't need a full season to see this Potter bloke can't hack it. I said this from day one and am continued to be proven right.

Also wanted to add that this is the worst run of form we have had for at least a decade

I thought RLC played pretty good too.

James wasn't at his best but I suspect the guy is very ff'd off getting injured all the time... So maybe he's working himself back in a bit more gently this time.
