Is gusto any good?

Can cucurella be the player he was at Brighton?

I'll wait to see because Chilwell n RJ are nailed on starters when fit.....

When fit is the key here and unless something drastic changes it will be a season of the same upcoming

I wonder which tactics Pochettino will use? We have certainly seen a lot of tactical plan 3 from this coaching video.

You need to add spanish way to play football where you can remove the goal post and there will be no difference

Pochettino is argentinian and speaks Spanish. Enzo Fernandez will absolutely be right at home which is great. He is the player we need to build this team around.

As much as I love Enzo. For a team like Chelsea to build around one player, he has to be at least Hazard level.

I think he is.

He's nowhere it. Hazard won games on his own, Enzo is not capable of anything like that.

He's certainly capable of that if the team is built around him. Give him wing backs to target, a number 9 to slip through and a number 4 to protect behind him and he will be crucial to our success.

In the same way no but he's already proven to be a game changer for Argentina and I think his performances here have been pretty good given what he walked into.

Enzo has arguably been a top 3 playmaker in the league since he joined in the worst Chelsea team in 2 decades, and he's only 22.

Whether he'll become as good as Hazard is debateable, but I think he'll definitely become a Chelsea legend just like him if he keeps on developing.

He's not there yet for me. He started well, but tailed off when Lampard came in. I've not seen much of his playmaking skills for a while now. He plays the odd nice long range pass, but comparing him to Hazard is really really reaching at this moment in time. We need to start winning games first before we compare a single player in this squad to players that were serial winners.

He was averaging 11 successful long passes a game under Potter/Bruno which is prime Pirlo level good.

As far as I'm concerned every player in the squad gets tax for Lampard's interim spell, especially those (like Enzo) that were impressing beforehand.

Will be interested to see which of our youth he keeps to be involved this season.

Hall? Casadei? Santos? Broja?

Also who is his back up DM signing now Ugarte has fallen through. Lavia?

I don't think we need to start winning games to judge. All you need to do is to watch Enzo.

Hazard was one of  the best player if not the best in PL. It is that simple.

Lavia for rotation/backup player is fine. But we need one midfielder who can come in ready. No Enzo, no murdyk type player.

Kepa’s capable of being the best goalkeeper in the league… if we could just give him a world-class defence to protect him, a world class number 4, and Haaland as number 9.

I get your point, but Kepa would still be required to make saves and clear his lines...that's his job.

Enzo finds space, pings accurate cross field balls and can play in a number 9. But he's exposed when we don't have a DM and we need players to pass to.

Dean, mate. Really?

Will that make him able to catch corners and stop more long range shots?

Sorry my post was a bit facetious. I do see the quality of Enzo, but can you build the case with fewer conditions attached? Eg just a new striker plus the players we already have? I have a bit of an aversion to our “let’s just get” culture, which btw I don’t think you are an exponent of based on other positions you’ve taken.

No not really 😂 though his record would probably great if granted all those things . See my reply to bisright.
