January 17, 20251 yr I'm not a Jackson hater by any means. He's a much better player then some on this thread are will to give him credit for, but having the burdan of goals from the striker positon entirly on his sholduers could cost us CL this season. Over the course of this run he's had chances to put games to bed for us in at least 3/4 of these games. He lacks a bit of a strikers instinct in terms of his in the box movement so when the other parts of his game our failing this really stands out. We need to reinforce, a Grioud like player right now would be massive for us
January 17, 20251 yr Chris Wood fits the bill and is good for headed goals though at 33 yrs and flying high with Forest is not going to come to us. Mbeumo who adored Hazard growing up has 13 goals and a conversion rate of 34%, Jacko is on 16%, I'm not sure if Mbeumo leads the line...... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers Jackson has 4 assists this season, one in the last match so positively affected 13 matches though of course in other areas his record is not so good. Is it me of should our wide players be contributing more in the league, last wide man to score was Sancho vs Spurs on 8th December.

I personally don't think Jackson will ever go on to become a striker good enough to lead the line for a club going for the title and champions league, so a Chris wood isn't what we need, we need someone to replace him. You're definitely right about the wide players though, they should be scoring more goals.

January 17, 20251 yr Meanwhile City just extended Haalands deal and he’s earning half a billion a week not including bonuses, and on top of it spent 75m on a backup striker. Us on the other hand, Garnacho or Ademyi in loan.

Your eye test passed Timo Werner and apparently Torres back in the day, i probably won't give it much credit.
January 18, 20251 yr I got a good feeling that Jin is going to owe more money to the forum after the Wolves game.

Timo was a lovely boy - don't you dare slight him. On Torres, to be fair to myself, I did say he was a busted flush - I just hoped we could get behind him, because he was broken.

January 20, 20251 yr Felt a bit sorry for him as the one good run and goal he did score was ruined by Palmer taking an uncharacteristically long time to play the pass. Should still have buried the pass from Sancho though.
January 20, 20251 yr Ah Mod is denied a tenner as Palmer took to long to make a pass.... Nevermind Nico, you can get Jim to Crack open that dusty wallet on Saturday.

January 20, 20251 yr Play him at LW and put one of Felix, Nkunku or Guiu up top, and see what difference that makes. We won't miss anything at LW by not having Neto there, and Jacko's defensive work will still come in useful.

January 20, 20251 yr There's a very good player in there if he finds form. He works hard every game. He can create chances. He does try, and I prefer to see the striker working to score rather than standing about hoping it lands at his feet. He's just unfortunate at the moment as things aren't coming off. But then again, considering we signed him for £32m, we shouldn't have been expecting a 20 goal a season striker.

Jeez.... next you will be saying she is not much of a looker - but has a nice personality.... The ultimate backhanded compliment.

Felix or Nkunku there won't work, let's not pretend that there is a chance of it working, if there ever was a possibility for them to play there someone would have tried it already... Guiu should be getting the chance, I can't see why wouldn't he at this point in time.
