The performance of dream striker.

89mins played.

1 shot

0 key passes

0 crosses

0 headers won

11 times lost possession

8 ground duels lost (not 4 won)

1 tackle

Let's not pretend that he was good..... Grateful for the lucky winning goal, but he was as sh*t as always.

As long as he keeps scoring winning goals I don’t mind.

Took his goal well today but bonestly he’s Kalou level, should never be starting for a top club yet but insanely we don’t have any other options.

Disrespectful to Kalou this.

A most welcome and important strike. Moves him ahead of Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi and James Maddison by one goal. Hopefully, he can repeat the feat in his next game so he can draw level with Brennan Johnson!!

Great strikers one and all.

Wow, I didn't realise Iwobi has scored nine goals in the league, that's insane.

Every dog has his day , get in Jacko w the winner. Still doesn’t change that no world class is permanent and form temporary. Got 10 in the league by late April (would still be 10 probs without his long injury), he’s a benchwarmer at best not an elite number nine. Hope club gets that DeLap boy in but why come here now ?

The problem being that he’s the best one we’ve got thanks to the owners. Having said that, why does Maresca have to keep him on the pitch for 90 minutes? Give George some minutes in the second half.

Lies. He is not the best we have. He is rubbish.

Unfortunately Jackson is the best Chelsea have to offer on the pitch, I would have a look at Watkins especially with the option of offering someone from the 50 players Chelsea own in exchange but this goes totally against what the club wants to do.

If we can get Watkins for 20m, then yeah I’m all for it. But we should never look at him as our no 1 striker, he’s very prone to shocking misses.

Both can be true, we have no other strikers so the bar is pretty low.

Nope - as i have said countless times, if Jackson is the answer, then we are asking the wrong questions.

If anyone genuinely believes that Jackson is the best 9 we have - then play without a 9.

We did for about 2 months and it was absolutely awful to watch, long term Jackson certainly isn't the answer but we are a better team with him in it

I agree - in this system, we have looked better with Jackson up front than Nkunku (the other person we tried in those 2 months) - but i go back to the refrain of 'if jackson is the answer.....you know the rest"....

The player is only ever half the story - and whilst changing him was/is a start, it is not looking at things holistically. If we are to play without a 9, then the system and style must be adapted to get the best out of those players we have playing - which was not done in those 2 months. Arguably, this system only really suits Jacksons 'bull in a china shop' schtick and Cucurella.

Cheers for the 3 points Wacko Jacko.

the comparissons to Kalou are unfair, Kalou played in a side with much better players and still contrived to be kak, Ive never felt the same levels of frustration watching Jackson as I did Kalou. I dont think Kalou is a bad man either. Still look back at his period at the club as a good one despite him being so crap...

Anyhow, im sure there'll be someone with knickers around his ankles all twisted at this suggestion.

Think you do Kalou a disservice, he was bought as a squad player and did just that , he has quite good career stats and if that donkey Jacko wins a quarter of what Kalou has he’ll be lucky

Jackson isnt playing in a side with world-class talent in every position.

Put Jackson into the side Kalou played in and different story.

Different times so probably unfair. Kalou was one of my least favourite player of that era. Many others i just didnt appreciate, Torres another busted pflush we overspent on for example but I guess I can see why fans get so frustrated.

But I should point out again, everyone wants to nail Jackson to the cross and call him out, But without his goals early in the season, We wouldnt even currently be sitting in CL places. He got us another 3 points yesterday and we kept a clean sheet. Its not fashionable to stick up for the guy, everyone finds the time to point out the glaring obvious in his game but the "donkey" has kept going and may well deliver us top 4/ champs league. (which we will royally mess up next season)

Get pissy all you want, he misses a ton, shoots into the sky, said early in the season its a divine act from God the ball finds his head and the back of the net... But he hasnt gone hiding. I appreciate that and it takes a big man who criticises to dig deep into a pocket and actually say well done. Not many on here with the balls to do that today.

And funnily enough, Jackson is already nearing Kalous goal scoring records.... so not really the GOTCHA you were hoping for @General

TLDNR - but it sounds like a load of excuses for him being sh*t....

Rather than wasting time making excuses, when anyone with 2 eyes knows the truth - you should start playing this fun little game....
